I don't see why you can't hold two opinions on this at once. Yes, Dirrell was outboxing Abraham and winning the fight. Yes, he got hit with illegal blow and Abraham was rightly DQ'd. But he also either wildly exaggerated or completely faked the effects of the blow in order to get out of the fight.

Abraham got hammered.I am not blind.Dress it up how you like,lads.He might now meet Froch,who MIGHT beat the shell of Kessler in the semi-finals?And he wonders why he hasnt got telly?Chuck Wepner was very good at walking after men,getting punched on the way in,it didnt make him an all time great....

I think this sums up what the majority of people in this thread feel about the whole thing. He won, looked the goods, but when it got tough, he bottled it.

His reactions during the whole incident, the fact he was having 'convulsions' yet got up and left the ring under his own steam, the fact he was walking around in his dressing room afterwards, the fact that hospital scans showed nothing etc.

He won but all his good work was undone by his actions. Looking the business is all well and good, but at some point you will have to get into the trenches and gut it out, take your licks and come back. It is a major make or break factor in a fighter and, for me, he did not pass this test.

Dirrell totally outboxed and outclassed Abraham, he frustrated him and made him do that. Abraham totally deserved to be disqualified, it was disgraceful.

People need to read the title of the topic.

Looks like double the amount of people who watched the fight, thought Dirrel faked it so far. That's fairly conclusive and i agree. I also watched Dirrell's knockdown of Abraham and he clearly sends in the forearm and shoves Abraham flying back before landing his shot.
