What? Then they should stop this right now, because Brooks might very well have been the 2nd best fighter in the whole tournament. Corbett and Krence certainly looked worse than Brooks.

The betting "expert" lol- 1/12 into 1/5 is only a change of about less than 10% in the alhletes chance of winning.

Yeah there's a fair few novices involved this time. The Board may take a glance at the matchmaking this time to make sure the class disparity doesn't occur in future tournaments.

After winning his first fight Herbie's odds should've shortened further as he is one fight closer to victory. So a 10% slip is actually quite significant.
That is true- but he was such a cert (more or less) to win the first fight.

In the hypotethical situation, those odds say he's moved from a 92% chance to an 83% chance.

FFS Wayne would have beaten ANY of the others. That fight should have been the final.

Very impressed by Dickinson in there. Hide may have a job on his hands after all.

do people actually bet on such an odds on favourite???? I mean "professional" gamblers might, but I can't see why a casual gambler would rsk a tenner to win £1.

Load of bollox, Herbie is out of order. I think this rule stinks, if Herbie decided not to continue then Brooks should have been given the chance to fight Corbert in hides absence

Still can't believe that Okoth will get 4k more than Brooks :witzend: My wife just said that the 2 reserves should have fought each other to decide who goes through rather than a flip of a coin.

Corbett should have never been offered the chance to fight in this tournament.

Brooks fought his heart out for Hide to coward out? Herbie watched Dickinson win with ease and then decided to quit. If his career means so much to him then he should not have entered the competition.

At those prices it doesnt make sence ; but drop 10 k to make 1 Grand then it starts to make sence.

Listening to Hide in the interview you see exactly why he pulled out.
