In fact, if they want to actually face the soldiers they despise, why do they not travel to the war zone and take them on face to face? Soldiers are not politicians, and you won't find them calling themselves hero's either, even the few true hero's out there by military standards.


Regardless of what the war is about, in the long term it is for the benefit of us. If you don't like it, you can always join the enemy and fight against it.

You obviously know zilch about the reasons for remaining on in the country do you?

Pretty much the entire 'country' and i use that term loosely was basically a terrorist state run by the Taliban - since ousting them the US & UK forces have remained in situ to try to restore some sort of law and order by backing the freedom fighters and organising a ballot to elect a leader - which saw president Karzai win over the majority of the states to try and bring the place back to the normality it once had many decades ago.

The problem is the taliban are now operating in and amongst the simple people of the country. Warlords from many areas are waging their own campaigns individually against their own people trying to run the country. The Taliban / Al Quaida are splintered throughout and until the insurgents are dealt with and crushed, the allied troops cannot leave the new council on their own or they would be slaughtered and the place goes back to the dark ages.

Pash's, Tajiks, Hazars, Uzbeks, Turkmen, Baluck - all ethnic groups that live in different parts of the country that all support president Karzai, a man who has had rocket grenades, bullets and knives thrown at him for the last 4 years, killing many of his staff - but he is toughing it out to see the job through...and the troops of ours and his own are working together to put the country back in order.

But anthony Small chimes in and turns into yet another religious argument .. "My brothers and sisters" - what the prat fails to understand amongst all of his brainwashing, is that they are killing each other, these so called brothers and sisters. Thick git.

Becasue Afghanistan is a potential gold mine (literally).

If you remember back to 9/11, the U.S was attacked and teh they started a war on the Taliban in Afghanistan without any proven connection between the two.

Then they decide that they have to find Saddam Hussein and kill him, which they do and find themselves ion another war in Iraq.

They/we or anyone should not be in either of these places. Their presence does no good whatsoever long term.

Why arent we in Burma where their is some sickening shit going on, or Somalia where the pirates are hijacking vessels on a weekly basis? Because it does not make economical sense.

The price of oil and who controls it has been a driving force behind many wars in the past adnd what wew see now is no different. Of course it helps if the media is also controlled to the extent it is in both the U.S and the UK. Who do you think owns Fox news?
