He unquestionbly won the last 2 rounds, most people would give Jeffries the first 2.
The rounds 3 and 4 were quite even, Banbula just edging them perhaps, and 5 and 6 Jeffries seemed to have an advantage to me.
So, yes, logcial that it could have gone either way (or been a draw.)
i will have to watch it again because on my tv banbula didnt throw a punch in anger until the 5th round

From the 3rd onwards, the cut appeared, and he did look more composed and aggressive. Also, Jeffries didn't do a great deal in some of the middle rounds.

Weren't the punch stats fairly even throughout most of the fight?
I don't think Jeffries clearly won all of the the early rounds, although I wasn't really concentrating.

you would of give i banbula by one? the big idiot didnt throw a punch in anger in the first four which in my boxing book gives jaff the first four soo if you all belive that banbula clearly won the last four then you should take a long look at yourself.. and before u give it the old i am biased bullsh*t i think jaffa boxed poor tonight and the cut and misunderstanding of the fight length added more to the situation but how some of you can say banbula won is beyond me!!
We say it becaue we are looking at it unbiased and not as a fan or a mate of either fighter.
Dont worry too much draw was a good result and punch stats only had banbula landing fout mare than yr guy so its not all bad.
People have bad nights boxers included coming on here calling boxers idiots doesnt make your version hold any more water in fact it makes it look like a rant.
Who have ii called an idiot mate? just remind me?

Someone who wins an Olympic bronze just may not be suited to the pro. game.

I like Jeffries and see him as a hard working lad with talent.
I can understand why his last two fights might have some people questioning his ability to go beyond domestic level. His power doesn`t seem to be the best and his fitness/stamina looked questionable in both fights.
However, I would frather see him get through tough fights and go the distance than blast people out after a round, as long term, he will learn from these sort of fights. Who cares about a draw on the record. We all know that records mean nothing at the end of the day.
We are quick to complain when David pryce knocks out Latvians in 30 secs, so let`s give Maloney a bit of cred when he puts Jeffries in with a decent opponent at this stage of his career.
I don`t imagine that Jeffries will become a world beater, but he will continue to improve and as long as he stays dedicated, he may suprise a few people on here.

He might not even make it to the top of domestic level the way he's going.
Can you really see him beating any of a consensus top 10 right now...... because I definitely can't. He throws one telegraphed haymaker at a time, no jabs and combinations, just easy to avoid (if you are any good) shots that you can counter without much trouble.
The first few rounds of that were fought at a steady-ish pace, yet he was out on his feet later on.
It's clear he doesn't like criticism because of the way he looked at the cutman when he told him he'd to win the last round or lose - clearly it was meant as a motivational tactic (correctly IMO) yet did nothing for him.
He needs a new promoter (that cares about him and not £££), a new trainer that has actually trained someone good recently and to stop fighting at home. Stick him on non-televised undercard fights down south for the next year, all over 8 rounds against tough opponents and see how he goes.
If he passes that test, he's got a future. If he doesn't, get down the job centre, simple as that.
A supposedly top prospect (like we keep being told he is) should be able to beat a decent journeyman handily, whether it's six, eight or ten rounds, and he failed to do that by a long chalk.
Back to the drawing board for Jeffries.

Anyone else think Jim Watt's commentary/scorecard in the first 6 rounds of this fight was poop? I was genuinely seeing a different fight. I thought Jeffries struggled throughout to get anything going and when the ref lifted both their hands, for one moment I did think he had given it outright to Banbula. I had it at least a draw and was swayed by the more accurate counter punching of Banbula, I think maybe a few viewers maybe were swayed by Watt's views and scorecard, I thought he was watching it with such a bias to the 'prospect' it got a bit daft at times.

said from day 1 jaffa won't go passt british level, way way overrated, the only thing he has going for himself is a good punch but 90% of his punches were thrown like slaps last night,

Very poor performance by Jaffa. I had it 5-3 to Jaffa but cant argue with that result at all.
