What was Moriatys first name ?

Not gunna mention names but he looked handy like!!
Not the Ritzy, it might not have even been in Bromborough but was over the water like.
so we're talking about Brett. I would imagine it would have either been ritzy or avenue 52 if it was bromborough. If it was birko, then could have been a number of places.
Brett used to look after the brown cow in bebington didn't he?
Sorry mate, it was in Birkenhead. The Cool Rooms or somethin???

Thanks for that Coco.

sounds good.
although I was once "escorted" from Yates by a couple of bouncers for getting into a bit of a confrontation with a group of lads upstairs once.
I dotn usually get in trouble - but for some reason that night I got agigated over something.

I always thought it was Richard's brother, Paul - even bigger.... well the "Colin Jones" chant always got aimed at Paul when Swansea came to Llanelli.

Andy Gerrard, big lump, former Lennox Lewis early career cannon fodder worked the door in The Royal in Ramsgate and can't quite remember how the altercation went but he was throwing someone in my gang out and a friend protested and Gerrard dragged him out and flattened him with a big right hand outside. My friend's about 10st... Gerrard big bastard. Mate went down hit his head on the floor and was very lucky to not be seriously hurt. Absolute liberty and of course when he complained to club's owner video tape from camera was deleted.
Was so happy when his bar on Margate seafront had its licence taken a year or so ago. Couldn't have happened to a nicer bloke.

this is an interesting topic, I come from a family of boxers and fighters, "street fighters", we're from one of the toughest, absolute shitholes of Britain and I know and have seen a lot of _ucken Hardmen and Nut Jobs...
the interesting thing is, I am old enough to have witnessed the coming and going of 3 generations, and the Hard _uckers are No Where near as hard or tough as their fathers and grandfathers! This IS a fact, I have witnessed from a family and local area that has produced Street Legends and Ring legends too.
Now though it is true, "Not all Boxers are toughnuts or hardmen", but I believe MOST from the past WERE, poverty, hardship and the pysche of the day determined it!
the toughest man I know IS my Uncle Tony, he was a Coatbridge legend, the deadliest street fighter I ever knew was in Canada, J. P. Gauslin, London, Ont. but these two weren't as hard as their predecessors!

Gerrard's last fight was against Lewis. The big Welshman suffered a busted eye socket and couldn't fight again.

People talk about this kind off thing all the time . But facts are a boxer especially a pro boxer will ALWAYS equip himself better than the average guy simply because he is used to being hit , taking it and hitting back , coupled with the fact he is generally fitter .
Thats not too say the local hardman cannot beat a boxer but when it does happen quite often the local hardman is 18 stone bashing a guy who fought at 10 stone , you won't hear of many getting it over boxers there own size . It happens but most boxers are the local hardmen .

I have it on good auuthority that Little Naseem would be extremely handy outside the ring. I can't repeat the story I heard but if I told you, it would suprise you all.

Ive heard a few stories about him getting filled in of guys in sheffield, but i think that is complete BS unless he refrains from hitting back, with his power he could spark 18 stone doorman for giggles.
I seem to remember Nas taunted Peter Judson for being ugly; then Judson told Hamed to shut up or he would bounce him off the pavement. That shut him up.
Didn't Michael Gomez kill someone (manslaughter I believe) when he hit him on the street when he was attacked?

Yeah it was for manslaughter but he was found to have acted in self defence.

He doesn't give a monkeys about anyone and can punch for fun; it is funny coz he looks like a fatty now and he gets lots of deadeye off the young hard nuts; he can go (they used to call him 'Psycho' at the Ingles gym at Wincobank. Another lad round here was John Oxenham; he lost to Garry Delaney and Bruce Scott; he can go; no one kicks sand in his face believe me. There's a lad was on Prizefighter a few months ago who is a gangster type who has got someone half his size chasing him around and causing him grief.[/quote]

Yeah you've nailed it right here.
size for size the boxer will usually flatten his equivalent as long as they aint pissed or tripping on drugs but boxer's aint supermen...a 10st boxer isn't probably going to flatten an 18st fit bloke unless they have fast hands and one punch KO power.
As for Hamed...from the reliable stories i've heard he was very handy on the streets early on before he became well known by which time had the good sense to walk away from potential out of the ring fights.
A good source told me that they were in a nightclub in sheffield and this very large man staggers across the dance floor and then he looks around and saw this little guy(Hamed) being the one who sent him there with one punch which dosent surprise me as he has very fast hands and one punch power that'd hurt most men of all sizes and weights.

i saw a fight in stafford on a night out between 1 lad and 7-8 others, the one guy was really laying in this group defending himself and giving it out big time. i asked a bloke who he was and was told it was rob hunt a pro boxer. i didnt have a clue if it was him, but this other person was pretty sure
