The tickets are absolutely flying out.The cheapest two prices have gone and the secondary market is thriving.Dont rush though, they have probably only put half the hall on sale so far.And they have been on sale for five hours!

Are they allowed to do that? What if I went on and bought the cheapest ticket available i.e the £55 tickets (3rd cheapest) and then 2 weeks later saw that there were £25 tickets suddenly back on sale!!! That's a bit off and surely against trading standards?!!

IIRC Haye did something for the Barrett fight didn't he? Offered 2 for 1 tickets at the last minute after people had already paid full price?

Yes,its common practise. They were unsure how the Ruiz fight was going to sell in Manchester so after selling half the hall started selling one block at a time!People were paying £60 on Ebay,Viagogo,Seatwave, etc for £30 tickets and the next day they were opening up a new block! This happened every couple of days until they had all gone.If you knew what you were doing and kept checking Ticketmaster you could double your money every time.Tellingly, nobody on Seatwave or Viagogo has listed any in one half of the hall suggesting they havent even put them out yet.

Yes,but thats because the fight was doing crap at the box office. He overestimated his popularity for beating Enzo.It seems the David and Goliath angle propelled him into stardom, along with Sky.

Valuev aside (and the reasons for that were obvious), when has Haye ever failed to deliver?
More or less since he moved up to heavyweight .... quite a bit there I think
All his talk of moving up to put some credit in the heavyweight division. And only interested in fighting the best

.... trash talking the K-Brothers ... then running away to look for the easiest of the easy heavyweights about .... oh yes. the heavyweight Haye has failed to deliver
He will only fight the one of the K-Brothers when they are in serious decline (because thats the only chance he`d have of beating them) or when he can fool the public no more and is looking for his pension fight.
Audley is a fraud for sure ... Haye is not much better since he moved to heavy.
You said talking a better fight than he delivers. OK, he hasn't "delivered" a Klitschko fight, but I thought you meant his actual in-ring performances. In which case, he's impressively blown out Bonin, excitingly duked it out with Barrett, and emphatically stopped the durable Ruiz. He's "delivered" in terms of performance in every HW fight except Valuev, and that was a means to an end.

4 heavyweight names ... and probably some of the worst heavyweights about at that time ... and thats saying something I know
Bonin .... who exactly has Bonin fought (let alone beat ) that means the slightest thing at heavyweight?
Barratt ... ummmm

.. the journeyman who put Haye down? the same guy who lost to Cliff Couser in 2 .. and the same guy who lost to the fat novice Cuban Solis .. in 2 next out?
Ruiz ... we all know about Ruiz

and even then it was the end of the line version of Ruiz after his pension fight.
Valuev ... the modern day version of Primo Carnera. And lets not forget, Holyfield - in many peoples eyes put on a much more impressive showing against Valuev shortly before. Though he wasn`t lucky enough to get the verdict ... this was the same Holyfield people were saying is shot to pieces
So were you agreeing with me by mentioning these names ...

The power of money, this is the only reason Audley Harrison is popular - I like many other people would love to see him get knocked out. Has there ever been a more undeserving h'vywt title challanger?? I think this could only happen in the heavyweight division, David Haye is a disgrace for letting this happen. Maybe he should grow some balls and fight someone who is little more than british title fighter at best!

Valuev?? My god there is a talentless boxer. Freak and a disgrace! I watched the Haye-Valuev fight, I still don't know what to make of that! David Haye has lots of talent and ring-craft but he's been very well matched and as soon as someone hits him flush on the chin he's gone - He ain't ever gonna fight the brothers klitch why should he? He's a millioniarre and he get's soft defences against harrison. Next will be Sprott. Would it honestly suprise you? Let's face it Sprott outboxed Audley. Incredible - Bring back Lennox - the last great Heavyweight champion by a mile!!! - by the way I don't rate the Klits either just think it's a very poor division at the moment, can't even see a saviour.

We weren't discussing the quality of the opposition, we were discussing whether or not Haye "delivered" in those fights. Except for Valuev, in terms of excitement, yes he did. In terms of doing what he promised, yes he did. In terms of winning well, yes he did.
But since you are bringing up the quality of the opposition...
Bonin - agreed, a very forgettable heavyweights, and consequently Haye dealt with him in exactly the fashion he should have. He delivered.
Barrett - an erratic gatekeeper sort who nobody complained about at the time. Yes, Haye could/should have beaten him more comfortably, but it was exciting, and that's what the division was calling for at the time. He delivered. And if we're bringing up Barrett's results, then we can all be selective for the sake of suiting an argument. Yes, he lost to Couser, but he avenged it immediately. Yes, he lost to Solis - after a year's layoff and on two weeks' notice. He most recently held Tua to a draw and immediately before Haye had smashed Ty Fields. Not the biggest/best results in the world, but he was an appropriate test for Haye to launch his full time heavyweight campaign against. He delivered.
Ruiz - people don't like him because of his style but putting aside that, he's been one of the top 5 heavyweights of the decade in terms of who he's beaten. Even when he's lost, he's been competitive, and nobody had stopped him in 14 years. Haye dominated and stopped him like Holyfield, Jones, Toney, Valuev and Chagaev couldn't. He delivered.

Actually, I give Ruiz a lot more credit than most people. He had an effective style .. not attractive ... but effective against the modern day plodding heavies. But where he always came unstuck was against quicker guys...look at his losses.
And once again. Ruiz was bad that night ... walking in straight lines with a low defence

Nope. Haye ay heavyweight has not delivered.
Bonin - again, nobody (except Ben Carey) expected Bonin to win, but some saw it as a decent test. Whatever, the point is Haye did the best job he could do against the guy, and a useful yardstick was that it took Harrison nine rounds to beat Bonin.
Barrett -again, people said he was a fair-enough opponent at the time. Barrett's form has dipped since then, but it doesn't change the pre-fight perception. As for Barrett against Fields and Tua, I did say they weren't the world's greatest results, but in both fights he was the underdog, and massively so against Tua. That he did so well in both of them shows he has something.
Ruiz - agreed, he had faded by the time he fought Haye, and also fought to please rather than use his much-maligned style which actually would have served him better. But whatever Ruiz's limitations on the night, Haye still did the best job he could have done on the night.
Anyway, back to whether or not he "delivered" - putting aside what we think of the merits of the opposition, how do you think Haye could have done better or been more exciting against those three? Because if he'd somehow won even MORE emphatically, I suspect that would only have been used as evidence to detract from the opponents rather than give Haye credit.
