Why thank you! I don't consider myself among the MOST knowledgeable on the forum (I can more than hold my own so not ctriticising myself, just that there are some veritable walking encyclopedias on here) but I do like to think I "speak sense", as you put it, or in other words maintain balance/perspective.
Too many people let their allegiances/nationalities etc get in the way of objectivity, and also a lot of people find it difficult to separate a boxer's personality from his in-ring abilities/achievements. Personally, I couldn't care less what, for example, Floyd Mayweather's like as a person, because I have never met him, nor am I likely to, so I'm capable of talking about his boxing career "with sense".
Also, like everybody, I do have my favourites, but I remain capable of discussing them and making predictions etc without letting my fan's heart rule my head. For example, I'll be rooting for Audley big time on Nov 13, but I'm quite happy to agree with the voices that say he hasn't earned the shot, and that he likely won't win.

Well said sir....
I love you all dearly, but special praise for Terry D, Oliver, Ian McNeilly, Bennie, Carlos and Coco......too many to mention tbh.
Spud is a one-off, the less said about Eric the better and Horse is easily the best poster with his own top 30

Slightly off topic, in that instead of talking about top *posters*, I'd say this is definitely the top *forum*.
I visit ESB less and less these days (and don't post), because it seems to be populated by people who are slightly to the right of Attila the Hun!
On the topic of posters though, whatever happened to DG and Twenty-Six??

if you want a nice chat with knowledgable boxing fans then you are at the right place...you want to have petty arguments with immature people then i recommend livefight or eastside boxing....

Yes, he's disappeared from Facebook too.
Maybe he finally got the street fight with Calzaghe that he talked about...

ha. I'd forgotten about teddy. i miss his blunt talking a bit. he ended up taking Calzaghe related baiting in pretty good humour, considering.

DG was banned, but 'drops in' now and then briefly under variations on his original name.
Twenty Six hasn't been sighted since BoxingChat made some rather nasty insinuations about him facing legal troubles of some kind. Always struck me as a very good poster and he's definitely missed.
Teddy was quality as well.
