Really liked thursdays show, liked the fact that they showed clips from an old classic and clips of undercard fights that wasnt on the main saturday show. If they can show all the best bits from the undercard on a saturday then it would be good to show fights from non televised events

I thought it was top notch. I really enjoyed watching highlights of past great fights(Arthur-Gomez) - long may it continue. Any chance of the Ampofo - Armour trilogy? :D Also, the discussion on serious issues in boxing from an ex-boxers view made for interesting viewing. Damn I missed ringside!

:TU: I really liked it, it was great to see the discussion about what fighters do once it's over, which really opened peoples eyes IMO. Also great to see the Aurther Gomez fight again, Gomez was an absolute beast that night!

I prefer Ringside to review the fights that are coming up that weekend rather than look back at last weeks. If you are going to focus on what happened the previous weekend then the programme is better going out on a Sunday morning - just like the format of the Sunday Supplement - not Thursday - it is too late - we have watched the fights, read about them online, read about them again in Boxing News prior to Ringside being aired on Thursday evening.

I think what Glyn said in his editorial in this months Boxing Monthly hit it on the head why Bunce Boxing Hour worked so well - it was irreverent, off the cuff and the live studio guests and live call in's gave that bit of added drama. I think Ringside is trying too hard to be slick and polished, it would help it was a bit more raw and had an interactive element to it where you can maybe take fans live calls or read out emails or do a live call with other relevant boxing names across Europe or USA (i.e. George Kimball would be good) to get their take on our prospects or future matchups etc down the line.

Still, thank god we have a boxing magazine show - it was badly missed.

Would be good to see a "Where are they now" type segment on the show. I often wonder about what has happened to some of my all-time favourite boxers.

They came with the suit.

He and Arthur Abraham should have a shiny suit-off.

I for one would enjoy a brief look at journeyman, instead of looking at prospects all the time it would be good to look at some build up to journey mens fights e.g Danny thorpe, billy smith, karl taylor, jason nesbit etc etc

Ed - if you want serious credability and to break the barriers between fan and broadcaster- mention the forum's. Mention Boxrec, mention eastside. Get the mods to put a sticky on the forum in return for your 'advertisement' credit suggestion and questions from fans by name. Do that and your on to a winner. IMO

Ed - very good of you to come on here and ask for the fans input. I would be very interested to hear from some trainers, and find out their top tips, how they would prepare a certain boxer for a fight (i.e strategy for Khan v Maidana) and a bit about their history, what techniques they employ and how they feel about modernising their training methods etc.

Just want to say that its great to see you on her Ed, taking on board what people have to say on the forums. Those in the sport who are reluctant to take note of what so called "internet warriors" have to say really pisses me off as these guys on here and forums across the world are what help the sport survive.

Yes we get many an ill informed idiot on the net and many a stupid comment but it doesnt take long to work out those who know their stuff and they could genuinely add value to programmes like yours.

I echo the comments on the boxing techniques id also be keen to hear more about fighters diets and weight cutting etc, Kerry Kayes CNP for example would be a good piece to work on seen as he sponsors many a fighter on UK soil.

Here's a question for you Ed...why has Sky turned down the Froch/Abraham fight as reported in todays Boxing News. It's an absolute disgrace that Sky have not shown a single Super Six fight of Froch's.

I agree with this. It is the best segment of Ring magazine imo. :TU:

Ringside was good tonight, I liked Ed's roundup of all boxing, not just Sky's fights. Rogan, Del Boy and Vitali excellent guests/interviews and most of the show was a preview of upcoming fights.

Another addition, would be a short piece on prospects - get the casual thinking about exciting prospects early so that they can grow a following....

Maybe have a look at a division a week both British and World. Have Sky pundits put together a world ranking for the division.

Good to see Jamie Moore on.
JAMIE MOORE WHAT A GREAT ROLE MODEL FOR BOXING. ONLY BOXING POLITICS AND TERRIBLE LUCK WITH INJURIES STOPPED HIM FINISHING A WORLD CHAMP. I WAS MADE UP TO SEE SKY TAKING JAMIE ON. HE HAS PRESENCE,VAST KNOWLEDGE AND SPEAKS VERY WELL. LIKE THEY SAID THE FIGHTERS ,FIGHTER. PEOPLE WILL WATCH JUST TO SEE JAMIE. AS HONEST PRO AND SO DOWN TO EARTH A MAN AS YOU WILL EVER COME ACROSS. WELL DONE SKY.
