I thought watching the fight live Flores had the quicker hands. His left jab was quick for a guy at cruiserweight.

I think both guys landed hard shots on each other during the fight and both had power in there punches. Obviously Greeny isnt going to carry the same power he had at 168-175 into Cruiserweight. The Cruiserweights are far bigger guys than Danny and will absorb his shots better.

Danny used his experience by backing onto the ropes which in turn stopped Flores long jab from being as effective as it was when they were trading centre ring. It was a good gameplan and one which let him bring Flores onto punches through the fight.

Well when u get a chance watch a replay, green beat him to the punch on several occasions. I know bj ls normally quicker ,but on the night Danny was certainly quicker. I rewatched a couple of times as a friend wouldn't shutup while it was on.It's not a debate, if you can rewatch.

No worries mate,
I didnt record it. I was timekeeping for it. It just seemed to me in the early rounds Flores jab was quicker.

I disagree that Green was the quicker fighter - Flores clearly had the advantage in handspeed, especially early in the fight. Green realised this and knew that if he kept coming forward he would be countered all night. He fought a good game plan by making Flores be the aggressor - something that Flores was clearly not comfortable doing.
Great post.

I had it 114-114 really good, close fight for a start I thought Cameron would steam roll him but everytime he hurt McCracken, McCracken came firing back. Ah See looked class on the undercard, looks like he could be one to watch

Shane should move back to heavyweight he has lost some pop on his punches and the idea hed be a Big strong power punching cruiser is simply not the case. Im not saying hed dominate at all at heavyweight but i see better paying fights for him there, although a Vea VS Cameron fight would be nice.

On another note Vea opponent Oscar Siale must be signing up for Brain damage at this rate he looks like he'll be in against hitter Vaitele Soi in a rematch on the tua card in March!! I like Soi hes a good prospect being brought along slowerly the rematch against Siale will show us how far hes come since there first fight and perhaps how much Siale has now faded given his run of VERY tough fights! Personally if Soi gets over Siale which i see him doing i wouldnt mind seeing him in with Vea or even Cameron!!! Be a great fight

ben know my thoughts, i had green the faster hands flores's fast jab is a backhand flick that does little than nusance value. to me if green was slower how can ya land jab to the body then the head all night with slow hands? i think the power is still there just didn't find the chin wanting to catch it

And here i was thinking that maybe i was too drunk  Yeah thought the fact that Green boxed with him and outlanded him quite comfortably meant he was obviously quicker, started questioning the science of speed.
