Very very rare for someone to get anywhere that for a defence and then it has to be a derby or genuine class fight.
Probly expect around a third to half of that for an average title defence.
It also depends a lot on whos bidding if you have two big rival promoters bidding to get there guy home advantage then it will push up the price a fair bit.
The winning bid for a fight like sykes v kayes would probly be more like 15 to 20 k and thats for the pair of them.
But i can understand yr frustration when someone you support works hard and doesnt get his reward but gary sykes has to do whats best for him its a short career

do you not think that if gary wants to take this route then he should have to vacate his title? its not just about someone that i follow i was also thinking about crolla aswell surely hes got to be abit PEED off with this??

You have a point if you want to defend and have a mandatory then realy you should have too.(is hayes or crolla mandatory)
But my point was if he can get away with having a nice earner and still defned british then hes gonna take that option boxing is all about earning wile you can.

I'd imagine some time in the next 2-3 months.
Sykes/Crolla was an eliminator for the title, Morris was a last minute replacement for Burns (who pulled out to fight Martinez) for the vacant title. O'Hara was a voluntary so I'd imagine a mandatory is due 2Q 2011 so that should be doable because Sykes fights in a couple of weeks and the eliminator due soon.

I know what I'm talking about, my point is correct. Sykes will never make £32k a fight for the British title.
Secondly, Crolla should be his mandatory and he won't now have a voluntary as he is in prizefighter.

who called him a sh1tbag :!:
it's pretty crazy what he's doing & to earn 32 grand is probably double what he'd get for a defence of his title but way more riskier :!:
gary obviously is hungry to earn & earn fast, full credit to him. i hope he win's.
