I'd be interested to see how many Degale haters would be up his backside if he posted on a boxing forum. I wasn't too fond of some of his OTT ring celebrations I only saw the other day, but lately I've read a few interviews with Degale and he seems like a nice lad. He comes across far better than Smith to me. Smith needs to stop having daft arguments on Boxrec month in month out imo.

I'm not sure many Degale haters would change their opinions of him were he to post here. He probably is a good lad, Smith is probably a good lad. I know a few who used to box and they're good lads, great fun and they aren't up their own bums. The only time any boxing fan really sees or hears of Degale is when he is selling himself as the next massive star or to promote a bout. If Degale were to post on a boxing site (he may already do so) ordinary fans would have more info as to how he is. When I came across this site I was really impressed that there were active boxers (some very successful) who read posts, posted and were bothered enough to argue back and forth. Budding superstars don't seem to be that bothered; other than when we're shelling out.

Gavin posts, and he is arguably out top prospect.

Degale's extra class will win it for him IMO.

Frankie Gavin is prob the top prospect but doesn't behave like a superstar; he isn't up his arse as much as some other class boxers and as much as any of em that post you could imagine him being ok if you bumped into him. It is an attitude thing; to some boxers fans are just consumers of their bouts and to others they are fans of a sport with opinions to argue with. I know F rank W arren is the undoubted top promoter in Britain but I have loads of respect for Frank Maloney who is proper successful and does interact.

What is up with Degale weight 166 pounds is he sick? Is anyone have a link to weight-in? I want to see how he looks.

Seems a big gamble to be putting DeGale in a fight with a battle hardened champion like Smith, after only 8 fights, but he's really looked the part so far - along with Gavin, the best prospect in the UK. I think he'll do the business tonight, maybe by late stopage.

This fight reminds me of Lewis V Mason

As a fan of british boxing i think its best if smith gets the win in a quality fight that goes to points , de gales can come again if he loses , but a loss on smith would be more detrimental to his prospects imo

I personally don't know whether DeGale is racist or not, but him being mixed race doesn't automatically disqualify him from the possibility of being racist.
What you need to understand is that there are more than two races in the world, e.g Chinese people are neither black nor white. I'm not saying that he is, but he may, for instance be racist against Pakistani people.

personally i think degale has taken this fight to early... smith wins if for me... i have great respect for both guys for taking this fight.... looking forward to it. im not rooting for either fighter as i like them both. good luck to em both.
