Judah's past his best but come on, Khan's just taken on the division's heaviest hittin' roughest toughest dude so give him a break at least Judah's a name.

Zab is done. He last beat a good opponent (legitimately) when?

He quit like a girl against Clottey, and got a gift against Matthysse.

It's not a fight that proves anything about Amir, I'd look at someone like Ortiz.... he's being hyped and isn't that good - let him take some of the credit rather than beating up an old man.
Khan deserves a handpicked voluntary after last week. Apparently hes going to fight in April and July so its a decent name homecoming bout before the unification in summer..
He's had two soft defences already prior to Maidana.

Salita would have lost to Frankie Gavin that night, and Malignaggi was same old same old, awkward, but mainly flash with little substance.

I'd rather see him face Ortiz or Peterson like I say, plus, what has Zab done to earn a shot?
About as much as Khan did to deserve a shot at Kotelnik in the first place.

This matchup is just right for Judah. Zab struggles against tough pressure-fighter types, not boxers like Khan. Zab should be able to land enough on Khan to rattle him. But then again, he might just get hit with so many combos that he loses interest again.

I dunno. If Zab goes for Khan he could do the job.

Zab has score two very credible wins in his last two fights. One against an interim titlist and the other against an undefeated top ten fighter. Okay, most don't think Judah deserved the decision in the last fight - but he showed against Santa Cruz than he still has fearsome power.

He is worthy of the shot most definately. Not just on his name and previous history as a champion - but on those wins.

Also, don't think anyone classified Malignaggi as a "soft" defense. He had beaten the guy who has since given P4P er JMM fits again.

I think people rate Judah too highly. He was OK against Clottey, but seemed very happy to lose, he struggled against a poor boxer called Ernest Johnson, he beat a poor Santa Cruz and finally he fought Lucas Martin Matthysse, who is OK, but Judah was gifted the decision (imo).

Khan would beat Judah clearly. It's not such a dangerous fight as you would think from reading this topic.

I think most people did. Nobody i spoke to before that fight gave Malignaggi any kind of chance.

Judah is just a namecheck fight for when his career is over. He can say he beat a 2-weight champion as well as beating Barrera and probably a few others on his way.

All this talk of having an easier fight after a tough one is bollox too, if you want to be the best then beat the best. Look at what Froch, Pacquiao, JMM & Sergio Martinez have been doing to get the recognition.

If they did, and I obviously have different friends from you, it showcases the improvement in Khan and not that Malignaggi was unworthy of a shot (which is a big difference).

Plenty of people gave Kotelnik a chance to beat Khan - how many people would have tipped Kotelnik to beat Malignaggi (particularly before his close fight with Alexander). I would say Malignaggi would have started off as a favourite vs Kotelnik.

Judah is worthy cause he beat 2 decent fighters in 2010..... who is more worthy at Light Welter excluding the champions...... Ortiz (who drew is last fight)? Peterson (well its rumoured it could be him anway). The Light Welter devision isn't that fueled with Talent.... Where is Kendall Holt?
