Khan has come out and stated Katsidis would not be his opponent for his homecoming bout. He further stated Katsidis wasnt even in the mix !! Further, Kell Brook would be a future opponent but not for his next bout. Appears he doesnt want anything too difficult for his "homecoming."

That was the pre-Maidana perception; are you saying Khan did nothing to change that vs Maidana??
Hounddawg wrote:Well Adam I'm sure you'll take great pride in rubbing it in my nose in 2 years time. But surely you don't think he's going to achieve this massive feet from the very weak Lt welter division?
It's not a weak division by any means. Khan, Bradley, Alexander at the top; a very strong second tier in Maidana, Kotelnik, Judah. The possibility of Katsidis and Marquez moving up and the possibility of Hatton or Witter returning. OK, not quite enough depth to creat a P4P star in the division alone, but hardly "very weak".

Thats a big call mate, I appreciate Khan's skills but without a chin there's no chance he will become P4P 1 IMO.
I think Khan will become unstuck in a fight with Katsidis, Khan is the far better Boxer, has more speed but Katsidis has Power in both hands and im sure he would catch and stop Khan. I may be proven wrong if they fight.
he got caught cold by prescott...he just withstood 12 rounds plus a disastrous 10th round against the hard punching maidana.

he has the fastest hands in boxing today, bar none. name me one fighter with faster hands?

not saying he'll be number 1 in 2 years but hes certainly gonna be up. no doubts at all.

he oftens puts a beating on pac in sparring:

http://ringsidereport.com/?p=5280 (a report where he stopped pac in 3 rounds in the gym)

http://www.boxingnews24.com/2010/12/roa ... -pacquiao/ (Roach says Khan has “greater potential” than Pacquiao)

theres a 4 page thread on eastside regarding khan v kats...none of them give kats a chance - http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/sho ... p?t=279010

Caught cold or knocked cold? Eastside do not impress me.

Those Pacquiao reports are nonsense. You obviously take Roach's word, yet you seem to ignore the countless times he has said their sparring has been good and competitive--not sessions where one guy is getting knocked out. People who believe those types of sparring session reports are credulous. I have also read on multiple forums that Pacqiao rocked and dropped Khan--it must be true if I read it!

If someone struggles that much with Maidana, I doubt they are knocking out Manny Pacquiao, especally in sparring with protective gear that obviates serious damage and injury.

BTW--None of those sites listed above are what I consider credible.

khan didn't do sh*t when sparring with pacman.

and u r a fool if u believe any press releases from roach or anyone else.

its an advertisement and that's it. they r selling the fighter and hoping people believe the rubbish. like has happened, lol.

kahn would beat kat imo. He has the perfect style for him. I think all the talk of kahn having a glass chin is rubbish. He got stopped once by a big puncher and has since been in with other big punches and done well. Does katsidis have a glass jaw because he got stopped by cassamayor and marquez? Of course he dosent. People read into that one loss way to much

Katsidis is no match for Khan at this stage.

I agree. A fight against Khan would result in another defeat. I think Katsidis should stay at lightweight. As for Khan's glass chin i think people read into more because of the nature of the KO against Prescott. But also the fact that he's been dropped by smaller guys and non punchers.

khan beat a guy who has achieved very little for quite a few years.

lets not get too excited.

the last BIGMOUTH pom by the name of david haye talked rubbish time and time again, yet failed miserably when stepping up.
talk of khan giving pacman or floyd a tough night is ludicrous. lets just wait and see, and ignore his big gob.

David haye was undisputed cw world champ. And wba hw champ. I'd hardly call that failing mmiserably. Kahn is as good, if not better than guerrero and as much as i like katsidis this fight would not end well for him.

my point is, it's khans BIG GOB, that is getting him more publicity and interest aimed toward him. i'm not swayed by big talking, i need to see more substance to believe he would not get embarrassed terribly in a ring with pacman or floyd.

people started to be swayed after some time by haye. they thought, this guy seems pretty convinced he will bash holes through the klits, maybe he really is going to do it. it was to his credit though, it got him a big payday for his troubles.

If I was a pudendum I'd say, "yeah that's him, the guy that put kostya on queer street in the first round"... But I'm not, so I won't.

Katsidis KO within 3 rounds

I have to admit, Im starting to see Khan's true potential, I still think his chin is suspect but he isnt getting tagged so it isnt really an issue.
I think he has no chance of beating either Pac or Floyd but id like to see a fight with Bradly.

Mate are you saying there's no democracy on the boards of Boxrec, that when a fill in moderator calls me a fcking joker that i'm not allowed to respond in kind.

Adam be a man and cop it on the chin, you gave shitt and you recieved a mouthful back, and i can't believe you used Judah as your basis and launching point for an argument to a civil conversation that took place months a go. I have little to no regret in the comment and judging by the fact that your iniating remark still stands you think your fcking god. Mate be a man.

And mate you don't have to show me the door, i'm sure we'll talk at some point.

how do i think i'm god? i hardly even post here anymore anyway.

May be. But theres nothing wrong with khans chin. The Maidana fight put that topic to bed.

The Maidana fight suggested that Khan's chin might have improved, but it didn't put the topic to bed. Khan has displayed a poor chin on many occasions, so I don't think people should assume those problems are gone based on one fight in which he was badly hurt by a single punch and in danger of being stopped. If Khan shows solid durability on multiple occasions then the issue will be put to bed.
