I really cant see this happening , As much as id like to see Kell get the chance for a world title fight .
To be honest i think it would be too soon for you too pal , dont take all this as negativity towards you either , you will find your very well liked on here in boxing terms , but calling out Khan i thinks a bit futile at this moment in time and serves no purpose other than to put your name out there a bit .

Fight a couple of fringe world level guys , putting in some quality performances to go with it and then see what opens up from there , id have thought you would get your WBO shot at some point during 2011 but for now id suggest stepping up the level of oposition otherwise it could be a big crash back down to earth when it comes to fighting an actual world level fighter .

good to have you on here kell, hope a khan fight comes off at some point in your career, i would be shocked if they take it at a catch weight and even more shocked if frank puts you in with khan in your next fight, by the way i see jamie cox has jumped up to light middle maybe you could meet him in 2 years time at say 150.5lbs when your both world champions ???

Kell Brook hasn't done anything yet. The guy hasn't beaten anyone of note. Not saying Khan has the greatest of records or he deserved his title shot. I think Kell Brook should focus on building his record up rather than trying to leap frog into a major fight. Khan had the mass media behind him, which Kell doesn't. There’s no way this fight is going to happen. Not until Kell develops his resume. I think Kell knows that and is just trying to gain popularity which he needs to do.

You sound like you know something about Khan that we dont.

Do you know how he gets on in day to day sparring?

mccloskey is the european champion something that kell hasnt achieved yet so id say he's worthier of a shot currently.

A European champion in the same weight division no less.
Kell should be concentrating on his own weight division and making a step up like Matthew Hatton is

ok so mccloskey deserves a shot abit more, but if he wont take it because of money he obviously dont fancy winning it, he should take a leaf out of chisora's book.

Out of all the potential matches for Khan, this is the one i'd like to see most. Brook has power, speed & good movement. He holds a good world ranking at his weight and is an exciting factor to watch.

I think it's refreshing that he's looking to take on the bigger fights as opposed to just going in for the paper belts

He's looking for it because its a big payday! From what ive seen of brook i think he likes to fight at his own pace and against khan who's very quick combined with a high volume of punches thats a recipe for disaster.

He'd get the paydays defending a title on Warren cards, clearly this will be a big earner as well but there's more to it than just money.

I can see Brook timing Khan and landing some heavy shots, he might stay up and be able to box on and take a points decision but it wouldn't suprise me to see Khan stay down

good to see another fighter on the forums, for us fans it's a pleasure to have some form of honest interaction. welcome Kell.

I know you're a talented fighter, but feel like you've not been given sufficient tests to warrant a shot at a fighter like Khan, who to be fair has fought a few very good fighters already.

The one true challenge you had against Mick Jennings ended with a very unlucky cut for Michael and he deserves a rematch, that fight was completely inconclusive and you know as well as anyone a good pro like Jennings is worthy of another shot ahead of the likes of your last opponent who was a joke.

It's rightly being said that you should be calling out people at 147 rather than asking Khan to make his first fight at Welter. You know that boxing is a business and he is looking to a big fight with the winner of Bradley/Alexander and that whoever comes before that will be someone he should be beating and will probably not be a huge risk fight.

You've got the no 1 WBO contender slot at Welter and should be looking on that list, but in terms of name fighters, Paulie is far more realistic for you than Amir, but as LouDiBella has already said (in regard to matching you with Berto), US TV hasn't really got you on their radar yet so you've got work to do IMHO before landing one of those big fights. Maybe an eyecatching appearance on a big fight undercard that HBO/Showtime are covering would help, but obviously the whole thing has to suit both you and your management/promoter. Catch 22 that you won't get the big name fights without stepping up in opponent, and it's a bit chicken and egg. But again IMHO fights like your last one are a waste of time, every fight now has to feel like a step up towards the bigger names.

If there's no international opponent of stature out there soon for me though Jennings is the one who you should be fighting to prove conclusively you have the better of him. Just my opinion as a fight fan though.

I'm always hopeful a fighter will grow into something great, and as of yet I'm still waiting to see that from you even though the talent is obvious.

best of luck to you.

Kell Brook is a Welterweight, Amir Khan is a light welter.

There are plenty of figters ranked above Kell at Welter, so if you want a big money fight against Khan, the best way to get the public screaming for it is to earn it. If Kell Brook really is world class he should be fighting blokes like Randall Bailey or Joshua Clottey.

If he beats them, he has earned a title shot. Earn the shot in the ring.

Mike jones would be a good test too,an unbeaten fighter from philadelphia whom there was talk that brook was going to fight not that long ago in a wbo elimator.

I think the keyword there is interaction - the fighters should come on knowing that this is what the forum is all about. Consequently I'm hoping to see Kell actually respond to many of the questions and points on here. Otherwise it's disappointing.

If Kell can't get the step up he needs, I'm starting to warm to the idea of a Jennings rematch - if only because I'm fed up of the people on here who seem to think that Jennings was 'starting to work him out'. To me, it was quite clear that was not the case. Hey, it's all about opinions though.

Very true Ian, Jennings was never going to win as he wasn't taking any chances....its probable the people who make these rematch comments are people who know Jennings personally.....I'd expect Brook to stop him within three next time TBH

Agree, Jennings was spoiling but wasn't troubling Brook at all. Brook wasn't at his best, but was still putting the rounds away - Jennings way to negative.

I think Jennings was being negative for a reason. Kel's strength. There is no way Jennings would be hurting Kel with the punches he was throwing, they were defensive punches - almost pouring them out and being more mindful of being tagged.

I don't think Jennings fancied it, and to be honest - I haven't read much from Jennings saying he wants a rematch, or even suggesting that he would have won but for the cut.

Not sure Kell wll respond.

He made his point and that was that.....He should really be fighting at a higher level by now but thats not here nor there as he and Fwank obviously fancy it against Khan and (maybe) feel that the fight may happen?

Kell is a good fighter, no doubt and can punch, I just hope for his own sake and development, Warren puts him in fights he needs, in order to be prepared to fight the best. WW is a tough division, always has been.
