Basically.if he beats Cook(who drew with Daws),Williams(who got stopped by Daws) will be a step down.I think there will only be fasteddie who wants the fight, the rest of us will be calling for Daws!

This thread is going off on a hypothetical tangent now.

Personally I'm glad Frankie is confident about doing the 12 rounds and has a fairly decent opponent afforded a bit more weight in his favour.

Should be entertaining.

When I talked to you at the upton park show frankie about Gavin tait , you didn't strike me as the most confident guy in the world. Jesus mate, your probably the hottest prospect in the country. Your far too good for nearly everyone in Britain imo! I'm boxing Bradley skeete on sat so I'll see you at the show. I think you piss it!

cooky was in training for a fight on march 5th not a twelve rounder, so should be 80% fit, its all about roughing gav up in the early rounds with his experiance and power, could be a cracker

Cook looks a big raw boned man; he's been in the trenches and pulled fights out with 1 punch. It is a very good match up of styles. It could well be tough for Gavin the first few rounds. I've no doubt that he has hard sparring all the time and will be able to box his way clear. I'm looking forward to this already! Jason is clearly the best that Frankie has faced as a professional so far; how he gets on will be very interesting.

Cook landed the punch of the year in 2002, when he knocked out Casamonica over in Italy, he looked like he was going to be stopped , but threw that left hook out of instinct and that was that.
He's looked good early on against Daws , but seemed to run out of steam late on the draw was a fair decision that night. Cook brings alot on Saturday, he can punch, has guts and experience.

I agree with you old bones! Cook is without doubt the best frankies been in with plus 12 rounds are bound to create a few probs but let's have it right. With more experience frankie can be world class. As far as ability goes I don't think Jason will have boxed anyone better than Gavin .

Are eliminators normally over 12 rounds?

That's my brother frank lefty, he's training quite a few boys down there including myself , I'm biased but frank is doing great. Got me in the best shape I've been as a pro. Well ever really . Maybe one to watch out for!

I think it's a welter eliminator as cook wanted fight at 10 7 cause of notice I think but I will definitely be fighting at Ten st in April if I win I think I deserve a British title shot plus I heard cook is 6 th in ranking in Europe

What is the point of a Welterweight title eliminator between two Light Welterweights?

You think you deserve a British title shot if you beat Cook? I'm sorry, I can't agree with that.

Well done Frankie! I am really looking forward to this fight. Cook should bring the best out in you. Hope you box well and raise your profile with this fight. I also think it's really game that your willing to fight at a weight that favours the more experienced pro. Superb.

the geezer held the british champ to a draw & gavin was handling mcdonagh better :!: cooks a top fighter & former lightweight king at euro level, it is a massive scalp domestically.
