He needs to concentrate on the important things first before his next fight....... like getting rid of the "Special Kell" moniker. It sounds like he is some sort of retarded superhero...

If he has the opportunity, I would go for Jones next and forget all about people like Cotto until I have boxed at world level a few times.

First off I didnt say that I thought Brook would smash Cotto. I said he had a chance. My view that Brook would have a chance is based on the following:

Cotto is overrated. Going back as far as the Judah fight he has been an accident waiting to happen. He is easy to hit and struggles with fast athletic boxers. If Judah had more self-belief, better discipline and a decent corner he could have stopped Cotto. He hurt him every time he connected. Brook is obviously is a terrificly gifted athelete. Whilst I agree that it is difficult to gauge skills without seeing a fighter in with higher class opponents, athleticism is different. Brook could shadow box in alone and it is plainly obvious that he is gifted in that respect. Athleticism is frequently enough in boxing, RJJ being a case in point. Brook's strengths overlap with Cotto's weaknesses and that gives him a chance.

Also factor in that Cotto has taken two horrific beatings recently and will get another if he ever faces Martinez.

However, you could spin that around and say that some believe Brook to be overrated, too.

Too much emphasis on his punch (which is good but he does not posses one punch KO power), ok'ish skills, untested stamina and chin.

He has not improved as a fighter.

At this stage the Jones who beat Soto Karrass, this weekend, beats him convincingly, as does the likes of Cotto.
