So IF this fight is back on, what's going to happen to the chisora fight? We all know wlad could physically fight both fights on those dates and be fit for both of them (injurys aside) but he probably won't will he?

Sounds like July 2nd is a go'er then. You'd imagine that once Booth came back and agreed the date ( which has been on the table for months now ) everything else must have fallen into place pretty quickly, as by all accounts, all the other details had been agreed back in Dec.
I reckon the details they're talking about now, other than location, would involve the Chisora fight...Booth must be very keen for them to skip that, somehow.

Re: Has Haye Vs Wlad been signed then?
The problem with the Chisora fight is that it is the 10th fight of Wlads 10 fight deal with RTL. A fixed price TV deal that allows Wlad no wiggle room in terms of generating extra revenue. If Wlad doesn't fight Chisora as No. 10, then Haye becomes his tenth fight, vastly hampering his revenue earning ability. So it's not just a case of paying chisora step aside money, there is the question of the RTL contract. Wlad rightly won't want to enter the Haye fight, the highest earning fight of his career, with a TV deal that doesn't match up to the profile of the fight. I'd also imagine some of the finer points being discussed surround this 50:50 split. A straight split of the RTL deal means Haye brings significantly more to the table (and therefore sacrifices more of "his" earnings) than if Wlad brings a one-fight TV deal negotiated specifially around this fight.MightyWarrior wrote:Sounds like July 2nd is a go'er then. Sounds unlikely if 02/07/2011 is a goer.Bennyblanco wrote:So IF this fight is back on, what's going to happen to the chisora fight? We all know wlad could physically fight both fights on those dates and be fit for both of them (injurys aside) but he probably won't will he?
Modern fighters don't like to fight that frequently & I doubt Wladimir would fight in April & July as well.
Re: Has Haye Vs Wlad been signed then?
Haye didn't say that. The Sun said it. Have a read up on the reputation of The Sun.Tunney wrote:So do you think Haye is lying again?earsjohn wrote:The article also says Haye is confident the fight can take place on July 21, a thursday.
DAVID HAYE has confirmed his world heavyweight unification clash with Wladimir Klitschko is back ON.

Or if he did fight Del would the majority of British fans be hoping that Wlad finishes the fight easily and early so as to not jeopardise the Haye fight? Would be a weird situation for Chisora if most of the UK fans want Wlad to win...Syntax Error wrote:Sounds unlikely if 02/07/2011 is a goer.Bennyblanco wrote:So IF this fight is back on, what's going to happen to the chisora fight? Dereck would be in such a weird predicament, in that his own fans would be wanting him to lose just see Wladimir in his next fight.
I think Chisora's best option would be to take a massive step aside bung in favour of a guaranteed shot at the winner, that is providing the sanctioning bodies allow it.

Hmmm yes, good point, I did read that somewhere. So it's probably gonna be Del Boy, and Wlad better get rid if him with minimum fuss - it looks such a mismatch, there's no reason to think he wont.earsjohn wrote: The problem with the Chisora fight is that it is the 10th fight of Wlads 10 fight deal with RTL. And yes, I think most UK fans will actually be secretly hoping Wlad beats him quick, so we can get on to the fight that matters. Del Boy v Dave Boy doesn't really have the same appeal, does it.

I'd be hoping for a Chisora win myself. Why should I be willing Klit to win just so he can fight Haye?MightyWarrior wrote:Hmmm yes, good point, I did read that somewhere. Haye Vs Klit is a massive fight that's been building up for ages, Haye Vs Chisora wouldn't have the same standing IMOjtourettes wrote:I'd be hoping for a Chisora win myself. It's be the bigger victory and bigger shock. Completely fucked off with Haye's talk and would love nothing more than seeing Chisora rain on his parade. It also has the added bonus of Wlad being Ko'd by a 14 fight noviceChambers2 wrote:Haye Vs Klit is a massive fight that's been building up for ages, Haye Vs Chisora wouldn't have the same standing IMOjtourettes wrote:I'd be hoping for a Chisora win myself. It's my 30th birthday on July 1st and I think the misses is planning something. If this gets signed for July 2nd, it could prove a bit tricky.

I'll be cheering on chisora im sure he will give it his all. The gulf in experience is just too vast and he doesnt have enough one punch power for this fight imo- i would love to be wrong.jtourettes wrote:I'd be hoping for a Chisora win myself. At the end of the day if he's good enough to beat wlad then he should be respected as a top flight champion.
