I accepted that Duran lost those fights. But you cannot accept De La Hoya's losses.

He quit against a guy who was smaller than he: Manny Pacquiao.

Why you gotta bring Duran into this. Even after that Loss to Leonard and retired the day after, even with DLH and all his accomplishments of winning 4 titles, still cannot match Duran's...How about that for the truth?

As mentioned, Duran had negative moments, but obviously his overall career was superior to De la Hoya's. I don't think anyone is arguing otherwise.
There certainly are some specific moments out of De la hoya's career that he should be criticized him for and that is fair enough. However, if you are going to do that you aren't being objective by not being willing to accept legitimate negatives regarding Duran's career.

De La hoya fought better competition than anyone in his era. Sometimes he came up short in big fights; sometimes he didn't.

The belly shot that the great Jim Jeffries got against the great Bob Fitzsimmons...That is a body shot
The body shots that the great Joe Frazier gave the great Muhammad Ali those were body shots.
