I'm amazed anyone thinks the away fighter would get a decision

Dallas looked very limted in there, against what was essentially a pretty straightforward opponent. I had Pagea 1 round up at the end, but nothing that IJL does ever surprises me.

Dallas can hit, but I can`t see him going very far. This was the first half step up and he failed miserably.

What guts me about boxing is the blatant abuse of the journeyman fighter. Why should they bother trying to win, if they almost know beforehand that the decision will go against them?

Dallas is not to blame, he said what any "prospect" would have said after the fight "I got the win and that`s the most important thing". Ie: Protecting the zero losses on his record is the most important thing.

The fact remains that to the majority of boxing fans, he didn`t win the fight and the most important thing for us as fans from last nights fight, was the realisation that yet another prospect, when slightly stepped up, showed us that he most likely does not have the talent or ability that we had hoped he had.

dont expect to see an impressive world class performance from Fury.

Good to hear Maloney's truthful comments, I think all the Heavyweight prospects who were coming through are beginning to find their levels. Fury showed he is a capable fighter beating Page, McDermott. Olumbamiwo showed his by losing to McDermott and Peret. Price and Towers are yet to show theirs. And now Dallas looked very ordinary getting outboxed by a journeyman (albeit it a very capable one but a journeyman all the same!) I fancy some of these fights to be made now or soon

I don't see Dallas going any further than domestic level that's for certain. He's the worst HW prospect out the bunch, and was struggling against a journeymen in Page who Fury beat.

What did amaze me most were the comments by Dallas 'He was moving around, and it got boring in there', how can I take this guy seriously?

Dallas is a knockout waiting to happen in my opinion, very one dimensional, with zero lateral movement, and easy to hit. Anyone with a bit of pop and half decent movement will give Dallas nightmare. Not impressed one bit.

page was robbed the other night, as an away fighter i know its tough to get a decision, but he deserved a draw, big time. the ref was appauling throughout, if a fighter breaks the rules and needs a bollocking, then stop boxing, dish it out, then box on. dont bollock dallas for hitting pages kidney while page stops and dallas is still hitting him.

Come on Frank. Let's have a rematch. Fury had the guts to get back in with John McDermott after a ropey decision. What about it?

At least Frank had the good grace to say they were lucky to get the decision. Dallas would obviously think he won the fight until he see's a replay.

Poor peformance im affraid to say dallas is very one dimensional and i cant see him getting past domestic opposition without landing a lucky punch. Where was the change in tempo, the faints, lateral movement, and class.

Page was absolutely robbed.

I think sometimes the judges or the refs get confused between negative fighting and elusive fighting.

Look at Tom's reaction at the final bell. Head down, he just walks back to his corner. He in no way looked for the ref to raise his hand.

Good point i forgot about that, i was giving him the benfit of the doubt after he said he thought he won at ringside straight after. But now i think about it he looked almost embarrassed to have his hand raised and was already walking away in shame after the final bell.
