Geale voiced really nicely, he is very relaxed and works well with the jab before firing off his sharp combinations, Sylvester was always going to be awkward with his long, hard jab but I felt Geale dealt well with him through most of the fight. I had it 5-3 Geale after 8 when SKY+ decided to stop recording!

i have read that geale will make a voluntary defence the a mandatory in australia (dont know how true it is) then look at martinez.
if this is true i would think a sylvester rematch would likley be the mandatory. which opponents would you look at for an optional defence? i hope he dosent bother with mundine, wood or soliman (no disrespect) its just i dont think any of these guys will do much for his inernational standings. outside of the top 10-15 the 160 lb division isnt as deep as some of ther other divisions, but it is still good, i would look at guys like Andy Lee, Manfredo and Ishida, all of those would be a good defence

i would love to see him take on martinez, but i think he would be best taking 2 or 3 fights to get there. he is an exceptional talent, but a guy like martinez has been fighting at exceptional level for a long long time. whereas geale has only had a few fights up there. i see a bit more experience at that level being all the better for him first of all, and he also deserves to make some doh before a huge huge fight to set him up. the guys mentioned here sound like a good idea to me.

Loved Gealy's stint on the footy show, loved how he pointed out that Mundine would have to stop fighting bums and earn a ranking if he wanted a fight, also love how Geale played it down that it would only be of interest in a Australia, Martinez is the Prize.

Just saw the footy show myself. Classic comments about how Mundine needs to improve his world ranking and fight some "real"fighters in order to get a shot....and they asked him if Wood was on the radar !! I loved his response about the door now being open for BIG fights ( Wood not being a big was the inference I drew). Hopefully he is true to his word and his actions will speak for themselves.

one of my good mates from school was part aboriginal and he got money from the government to go to school as part of some program and he told me to be classified as aboriginal you had to be at least 1/8

yeah i can definatly think of worse things to spend money on.

geale is a tidy boxer. i dont no anything on ozzie sorry australian taxes etc.would love to seal give some english boys a shot as it allways pulls in the punters & he'll have a better chance of holding his belt.
