Surprised so many people see this as a foregone conclusion for Murray. I Personally think Mitchell wins. Murray is great to watch but for me he lacks the dig to back up his style. Whatever happens though I think it's got the makings of a real firecracker of a fight due to their respective styles. Proper looking forward to this one!

I cannot see how Kevin will be right at the time of the fight...... even if his problems are behind him - this inactivity cannot done him good.
Its a great little fight, I think Mitchell is the more talented, I think he is quicker and has the better dig.... just think he isn't "match fit".

You really think he hits harder than Murray? I can't see that myself. Murray is a career lw with 19 stoppages. For me he's too much for Mitchell right now.
He might be too much for Mitchell who has been inactive and possibly all over the place. I do think Mitchell hits harder... his KO percentage is better (albeit at Super Feather) and his early KO record is alot better... Murray is a grind 'em down kind of puncher, Mitchell gets them out of there earlier.

Mitchell has proved nothing at lightweight and Murray is a strong lightweight, who could easily move up to light welter.
Murray will wear him down, break his heart and stop him late on.
I get the feeling watching Mitchell last night, that he is trying really hard to convince himself that he can win. Of course that is what a fighter should do, there is no point going into a fight thinking you are going to lose, but he just seemed to be trying a little too hard. Murray looked totally confident and all pent up aggression.
Hopefully it will be a great fight, but I`ll go with Murray in this one.

His KO percentage is better because he's been fed shite for 98% of his career - not because he hits harder.
I wouldn't be surprised to see this go the same way as Katsidis with an early stoppage for Murray. Mitchell will then come out with all the excuses about how he's not really shaken off his virus etc. Mitchell's a poor operator once he gets past domestic level and Warren knows it - that's why he's put him in with Murray, it's a great low-risk, high-reward fight for Murray, and the perfect platform to build him up to a World title shot.

Mitchell looked really stiff and nervous on ringside last night , wheras Murray looked nice and relaxed , i think that itself tells you a lot .

It's hard for Mitchell I imagine.
From the age of 14 until he got smashed by Katsidis he had people in his ears and plenty of fans telling him he was going to be a great, 3 weight champ etc. It's hard not to get carried away with that sort of talk.
Defeat hurts some fighters more than others.

Can't wait for this fight. Really hope Mitchell wins, I still think he has some world class ability in there.
