Secondly, as you have developed this into a discussion re Rhodes (which is a bit weird and irrelevent to the topic) the only reason the Small fight did not happen was due to Rhodes back injury.
That is documented with the Board and supported by medical evidence.
You did say that you wouldn't post again, but experience told me that the mere mention of Mr Rhodes would prove to harsh a test for your resolve, always does

Honestly think Frankie gets a hard time on this forum, he's nothing like the prima donna some posters believe he is. On reflection I don't think he could have come out on top in this situation.
I don't have anything against Curtis, and plenty of respect for him, but the way that some posters are making this out like this fight is good vs evil is laughable. At least it won't make a difference on fight night.

I would say I doubt it unless it was over a long distance...but looking at 'em, Gavin looks a good bit bigger to me, and that could make up for the power he doesn't hold in abundance.
with the skills and experience Gavin has, compared to a relative novice, I would say FG should be able to get Woodhouse outta there.
I just hope both have a good fight and these pages never get dragged down like this again with two fighters having a sad, sad running battle on here on a fcking Forum. It's been boring not to mention very embarrassing.

after watching the weigh in yesterday i can only see one winner and that is gavin he looks well up for it he also looks alot bigger than woodhouse,i like curtis and i hope im wrong but i can see gavin stopping him

I agree he looks a different weight division, what will it be like come fight time, Curtis will have to get inside to have a chance and work from Gavins chest, but getting inside will be a difficult task.

im just thinking will curtis have the temprament to stick to a game plan and will this game plan work. gavin is a class boxer add the southpaw stance to this and it will be a hard task for curtis to last the distance never mind win,curtis looks like a lightweight were as gavin looks like a welter,i didnt realise gavin was so tall(or curtis was so short)

I think he'll stop him; despite Gavin's lack of power, 12 rounds is plenty of time to land enough power shots and the accumulation should be enough if he fights with some urgency. Woodhouse is simply not going to be able to land anything solid, which will tire and discourage him. This should be a good test of whether Gavin can find that venom he's been lacking so far in the pro ranks (or equally, whether he can put enough steam on his counters to hurt a guy with a good chin; I'd like to see him floor Woodhouse early, as the ability to land hard on the backfoot might save him in future fights if it turns out he can't press a fight that well)

Gavin had every conceivable advantage going into this fight and the bottom line is Curtis comes out with all the credibility.
Now the fight and hype is over I truly hope Gavin takes a step back and reviews everything in hindsight.
If he is going to fulfil his potential then he must sort ALL aspects of his prep out.
As for Curtis, how can anyone be anything but full of praise for him ?
The story is a great one, and I hope his Promotor sorts him out an English Title shot.
He deserves his chance.

Props to Curtis; your performance massively exceeded my expectations. I mistakenly took a "he's just a footballer" approach to this fight, and I won't do it again in the future.
