Here's Price getting stopped at the Olympics by the rather awesome Roberto Cammarelle:

He gets knocked down earlier, and then stopped by what seemed like a lesser punch, but it must have hit the right spot.

Price was stopped by Camarelle in the Olympics, but he's hardly a joker, is he?
I think Price fans and detractors are going to extremes at the minute.
It's pretty dumb to say that Price will dominate Fury, a man who has two wins (albeit one of them controversial) over McDermott, a clear decision win over Chisora and also dominated a very solid journeyman in Zack Page, who schooled Tom Dallas.
Page is probably better than anyone Price has faced to date, as lefthook correctly points out there's a fair few stiffs on there, a couple of whom shouldn't have been allowed to box in the UK.
He's an improving talent without question, and will probably beat McDermott relatively comfortably. It's a good, meaningful fight for him, it's just a shame that it's the best part of four months away.
By the time the fight happens both lads will have improved some more, I'd expect the odds to be relatively close come fight night. At the minute Fury is the more proven of the two, having had two gut checks and gotten by a couple of potential banana skins. Price looks a skilled operator and has the more correct technique, but has been matched very carefully indeed and has question marks over his chin due to the surrender in the Olympics.
Definitely one to look forward to

Price on points, and that's if Fury fights to the level he did on Saturday.
Could even stop him

Fury is a fighter with talent and improving all the time. His fighting heart is massive and has already passed the gut check on a few occassions when most 22 year old prospects are being wrapped in cotton wool.
Price is a good technical boxer and his timing and power are increasing. His oppositon has been poor and this has flattered him.
If David challenges for Fury's British title, Tyson will eventually rip his heart out and force a stoppage. Price beating Fury's left overs (McDermott) won't change the outcome at all, but an impressive win for David will help to create more interest.

I would favour Price heavily if this fight happens anytime soon. Fury has shown he can mix at domestic level and certainly has the better resume, but even in his wins I think we are starting to see where his ceiling is in the sport, at least for the next few years anyway. Price would land the right hand far too easily and stop Fury, mid to late rounds KO.

Chisora trained hard for that fight, he just got his tactics wrong.
He wanted to come in heavier to counteract Furys size not anticipating that Fury was going to come in at one of his career lightest weights.
Chisora trained for extra weight / extra power and came to try to knock Fury out.
His and his teams tactics are transparent if you know what you are looking at !
If you think he trained hard for that fight, your a mug. Where you getting your info from?

Listen clueless you certainly don't know what your looking at......
If you think he hasn't trained for the biggest fight of his life, his one and only serious grudge match, then your the real mug !!

Clueless?
I asked you a question earlier, and rather than answer it, you came over all billy big bollocks.
Your said he trained hard. I'm saying - how the fvck do you know? You live near Finchley? I'm saying he was in nightclubs when he should have been sleeping, and I'm saying he was selling cars when he should have been training. I'm saying he didn't really want the fight anyway, but the money was the best he'd earned in the ring, and he couldn't turn it down.
Don't give me all that 'I know more about boxing than you' bollocks - i've heard it all before, its very childish, and it makes you look like a twat, especially seeing as you think he trained hard for that fight.

Chisora obviously trained but obviously didn't train hard enough. He wasn't in good shape. That's undeniable.

There was a Klitchko fight at stake for Chisora if he won this fight - do you seriously believe FW would allow him to go into this fight unfit with so much on the line ??????
FW was telling any one who would listen that DC was going to do a job on Fury, do you really think he would turn up to a press conference ,weigh in and fight, and embarrass himself if he wasn't right. FW could of pulled this fight at any time !!!!!!!
All of the above tells you there was a strategy in place clueless.....

Kevin Mitchell v Michael Kastsidis.
As for Price, just watched the amatuer fight, leaves his chin hanging out and struggled with someone who had a decent reach. Whilst Fury doesn't have any power, his workrate could cause Price problems.
Price for me doesn't throw enough combinations, but then he hasn't ever had to. I can't wait to see him against McDermott as it's a real test against someone who will pressure him. If Price comes through this well, I fancy him to do Fury but may have to up his workrate and lower his chin.

Mitchell v Katsidis - not a good example
Mitchell apparently lied to Warren, and this would be easy to get away with, with him being a slim lightweight. It would not be obvious he wasn't in shape.....
Whereas FW and his team have had plenty of opportunities to notice the extra weight gain.
To say Furys not a puncher when he's ko ed 10 out of 15 all of which are better opposition than Prices opponents is crazy.
Chisoras trainer asked him whether he wanted to carry on in the 10th, he was busted up.
And that was with Fury having 1 proper hand in the fight.

What a load of old bollix! He was blowing out of his arse after the first minute and a half of every round, and that throwing barely any punches.
Warren isn't going have been there every day watching him train. Chisora's people probably told Warren everything was fine. It happens all the time in boxing. I won't be surprised to see Warren get rid of Chisora, he must have been incensed with his performance.
what were his tactis? Doing nothing for 80% of the fight and standing trapped in the corner.
You are the clueless one.

You don't think that Fury was flattered by how pathetically out of shape Chisora was? A stone overweight, and blowing like a whale. Christ Chisora threw about 5 punches in many rounds. He spent whole minutes lying on the ropes trying to get his breath back. Had Price been in there with him I have little doubt he would have stopped Chisora.
Styles make fights, and I think Fury's technical deficiencies are manifold, and he needs A LOT of tightening up. Im not doubting he has attributes, and a huge fighting heart, but that's not enough to overcome someone who has superior technicque and power in spades.

James mcdonut - 99% of what you write is bollox.
If you think that after seeing DC on the scales that FW couldn't of pulled him out of the fight with a silly excuse, with there being so much on the line then you are completely delusional.
Conclusion - there was a strategy in place
The extra weight was to try and bang Fury out because he didn't have the tools to out box him.
And that's exactly what he tried to do - Bang Fury out
As for you trying to cross examine the Butch - he's got more boxing knowledge in his big toe than you have in your body !!!!!

Any criticism from someone as thick as you I take a compliment mate. Yeah an extra stone of flab is really going to help bang someone out isn't it.
As for the butch, I'm sure he can speak for himself. I certainly don't need your permission to have a debate with ANYONE on here, certainly not from someone with 79 posts, whose contributions are risible.
That extra flab sure helped him knock fury out didn't it, if those were his tactics then they were as smart as you....joker!
Do they call you Johnny cucumber because you're such a massive cock.
As for criticising my writing go ahead mate, but at least I can put together a cogent argument, and people have actually published my work, which is more than a no mark like you has ever achieved.

What promoter in their right mind is going to pull their fighter out on the night of the fight, angering the TV company. This was on a prime terrestrial slot, he would have pissed off channel 5 no end.

Whatever Johnny Bell-end. You're input won't be missed. Go back to your creche.
If I turn out to be wrong about Price, it won't be the first or last time. However, at least I have the ability to put together an argument as to why he will win. More than the inane rantings you've put together. Swanning around giving it the charlie big potatoes, like you've got inside knowledge, insiting everyone else is clueless because you are deluded enough to believe Chisora came into the fight in good shape.
