Your right about Bonson. The man had an incredible chin. Boothy was also only really a natural Middleweight at the most yet he was knocking people cold up in the Heavies! Both very tough men.manno wrote:Burton was the daddy alright! PPL go on about Wards fights with Gatti and Sanchez but Burtons/Augustus' tear up with Mickey is my 2nd fav small haller of all time!! Also re. the best journeymen, a very underestimated and extremely tuff guy was Paul Bonson, stopped only 3 times in 130 odd and took the likes of Froch,Bellew,Enzo,Rothman,Thompson and a host of domestic talent the distance- all the more remarkable when you consider his style. Another guy i boxed as an amateur was Boothy and believe me the guy really could have been a champion.hurlock wrote:id say paul wesley, jimmy vincent, tony booth, anthony hannah & mark ramsey were the most talented.
george richardson allways brought fire if anyone remembers him.
emmanuel burton internationally was the guvnor & WAS good enough to easily win a world title.
