Meanwhile, Sturm is reported to be defending his WBA title against Commonwealth Champ Martin Murray.

Murray is undefeated but a points win over Peter Mitrevski jnr is one of his better efforts.

Macklin, Murray, could Sturm be trying for some revenge for WWII?

if he was after revenge for wwII he would fight a Russian. They done all the damage seriously though sturm pisses me off. He's obviously a very talented guy but he's taking a leaf out of mundines book

Blitzkrieg did not work without air cover.

Fortunately he didn't realise the calibre of the people he was trying to enslave.

Thanks to the British pilots AND OUR EMPIRE ALLIES and guys like the Free French and the Free Poles, Britain was able to inflict the first defeat on the nazis.

Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few.

Hitler only attacked Russia when he realised an invasion of the British Isles was impossible after the Germans lost the Battle of Britain. By the time the Luftwaffe worked out what the radar masts on the east coast of England were they were just about out of planes and pilots. The Poms conned them into believing that the Spitfires were finding the German bombers easily because they were eating a lot of carrots (which is where the "carrots are good for your eyes" myth came from.

For a time early in the Second World War, bombers of the German Air Force (Luftwaffe) used a number of increasingly accurate systems (Knickebein, X-Gerat) of radio navigation for night bombing.

The "carrots story" was one of the cover stories the British used as British "scientific intelligence" at the Air Ministry fought back with a variety of increasingly effective means, involving jamming and distortion of the radio waves, which the Germans didn't twig to.

This period, known as the "Battle of the Beams" ended when the Germans moved their bomber forces to the East in May 1941, in preparation for the attack on the Soviet Union

i think you missed what i was trying to say. I meant if Germany could have fielded all the troops from the Russian front in France in 1944 i believe they would have won any land engagement against the allies. Hell, they still gave them grief with what little troops and equipment they did have
