If Anthony really believes he can win this then Ovill obviously hit him harder than I first thought

great fight.
My whole family are over from Liverpool for the Cardiff half marathon on the Sunday though so we're gonna have to find somewhere on Saturday night in the city to cheer for Bellew and not get strung up by the locals!

any suggestions?!

Good luck Bomber.

The trash talking will keep us all entertained in the run up, hopefully the fight will live up to it too!

As a side note, who would be the most profitable champ for FW out of these two? Surely it would be bomber

Theres a boozer called Dempseys which is right opposite the castle that usually has the boxing on, whether or not you get strung up is another matter :OhYes:

Failing that the casinos in the city all show the fights

With Cleverly the obvious cannot always be relied on.

Exactly. Clev needs to grow up a bit and look at technically beating Bellew, because he can do so. He needs to avoid been baited into a swinging for the rafters match up. If he's determined to follow Joe then watch and re-watch how Calzaghe dismantled Jeff Lacy instead of how Calzaghe tried tog o to to toe with mitchell.

Had to laugh at Phillip "shirt off" Olivier on twitter calling Cleverly "some welsh divvy" - yeah okay Phil. twat.

Good fight.

Exactly. If Cleverly boxes with restraint I find it really hard to put together the case for Tony winning, but if Tony can sting Nathan's pride and force him into a 'shoot-out' then it becomes a real 50/50 affair...

He has a speed advantage and that's all! He can't outbox me cos it's not in his make up!! The person who said what happens if he bullies me?? I've had fighters my whole career trying to bully me! I know for definite that I can adjust in fights, as seen last time and as seen throughout various fights in my career!

He knows one way to fight and this will be his undoing! What kinda guy stands 6'2 and fights head on with a guy who 5'10?? I'll tell you one, his name is Nathan Cleverly and come October 15th he's getting dethroned!!

Thanks too guys as usual ;-)

Bomber do you honestly think you have deserved this shot, at this stage of your professional career. Or do u feel it's only been brought about because it's been talked up as a grudge match?

I dont think anyone objectively rates Clev as a bona fide world champ. Clev isnt linear champ and to that end Im just looking forward to a cracking domestic dust-up. Im not bothered about the title whatsoever, its essentially meaningless in real terms.

I dont think Tony need have particularly done much to "deserve" this fight. In my eyes its a shot at Clev, a fringe world class boxer as opposed to a shot at the genuine world light-heavyweight championship.

Apologies in advance llamalew, i know you didnt direct your question at me.

That's ok mate, I totally understand your point that if there was only 1 world title belt then Clev would obviously not be a world champion YET. but he did prove himself at every level, domestic, commonwealth and european before claiming his 'world' title. Where as bellew IMO is still at British level and should be fighting the likes of Danny macintosh at least to prove he deserves to be in there. I know most people will argue that Clev picked up all his belts without beating a champ but he worked his way up the right and traditional way. I think bellew has a punchers chance against Clev if cleverly doesn't use his head. But this fight was a million miles away before the f**king rat comment, and has only been made now cos of public intereset and not Tonys past achievments.

I'm looking forward to this one - still not sure who to put my money on.

How tall are they ? - I thought Bellew would be taller but Cleverley looks an inch or 2 taller ?
