I still think there will be a long wrangle about him getting his licence back. I hope he does get it sooner though, as the longer it takes adds to the temptation to go back to his old drinking ways.
As for what weight we may see him at, i'd say a comeback as a light-welter would be sensible, then see if he can get down to lightweight after a fight or two, that way setting up a fight with Burns.

Must be just me who doesn't want to see him in a boxing ring ever again.

Says in todays Scottish sun that the board will not stand in Harrisons way as hes over his depression ect ,
and harrison says hell get down to 9st 4
hope all this is true but it did come from the Sun
Would imagine if he gets back in action would be nearer 10st and then after couple fights see where his body is at .

I am not over confident that he will re-establish himself as a belt holder. He was a huge featherweight and by moving up in weight he may lose the strength advantages he enjoyed at 126 pounds.
Technically he was very average and this was exposed by the ageing Medina in their first bout. To his credit he snatched his title back in a rematch in what was probably his best performance.
34 is old for a lighter weight fighter and two and a half years of inactivity will not be shaken off overnight. Good Luck to him whatever happens.
I think he was very underestimated because he was so aggressive and straight forward. I think if you asked Robinson of Mculloch about his technical ability they would disagree. It's all about opinions.
I must confess that I was shocked when he fought Robinson as Robinson just imploded, it really was the night that Stevo got old. It was also Robinsons 5th loss in a row and therefore it was not the win it appeared.

wow, even in his prime he was ordinary. If he comes back at welter he'll have zero physical advantages against anyone. this is the type of fighter who is going to come back and continually get in long tough fights that take a horrible physical toll

Harrison was a fighter who was average in many respects, but had a good engine, determination and was a physical beast at the lower weights.
At a higher weight he is going to struggle, he always relied on volume of punches, and was rather slow of foot. Against main his own size and bigger, he is going to face bigger punchers than ever before, more durable, stronger men.
I don't see much future above domestic level for Scott.
He's served his time, and good luck to him, but I think any notion of him winning a title against anyone decent is rather fantastical thinking.

I just want to see him back in the ring. He's obviously gonnae say he's aiming for a world title but i'd just like to see him in with anyone to see what he's got left.

Scott Harrison was a really good fighter but better than Jim Buchanon?
Or Benny Lynch his idol?

Ken Buchanon or Jim Watt mate
Ken Buchananon is widely regarded as the ebst from scotland for his achievments
was a harder era and fought away from home alot , less belts also back then

It would be safe to say Buchanan was the best Scottish boxer of all time. Harrison has certainly been the most successful Scottish boxer of modern times hopefully the trend continues with Burns.

Sorry Jessi, I respect your right to an opinion even though its catergorically wrong.
He was out-boxed by a 72 year old Medina.
He was better when he was younger, more precise, better shot selection and very neat and tidy. His performance versus Chacon was very good.
I'd like to see him fight Alex Arthur just for the nostalgia.

I think it was the Victor Polo fight, or another - where Harrison got the tabs boxed off him and still kept his belt.
Whether he was on the shandy at that point I don't know, but to me he looked pretty 1 dimensional.
Reading other forums it would appear many want him to return - only for someone to beat the absolute living daylights out of him for being a woman-bashing drunk behind the wheel.
Me? couldn't care less really what he does. Everyone deserves a second chance, but I understand he's on like his eighth now.

You never know. Judging by the way the WBC shuffles their rankings he was probably their no 4 when he was 2 months into his stretch.
