Re: prize fighter tonight?
What an effort by Jeffro!! Agyui-Dua looks to easy to hit, but offensively looks a bog contender. Superb battle
Re: prize fighter tonight?
Should have been a one round shootout.
Re: prize fighter tonight?
Well right guy won as he won every moment of the fight except the knockdown.
Re: prize fighter tonight?
10-8 in the first though.
That gives you 28-28.
Did you score the first 10-9 to Jeff? The round was relatively close and was defo a 10-8.

It was a majority draw J won't count as a loss on his recordjBacca wrote:10-8 in the first though.

Superb effort by Jeff, I sincerely hope this opens up a few more doors for him....he deserves it completely off that showing.
Think he should go down to 147 or 140 though, to small for the weight.

Hard luck Jeff! Fought well but just not enough in the end. Great scrap though. Journeyman tourney next???
Re: prize fighter tonight?
I know mate, just trying to fathom how it could be a 29-28 to the other lad. Yeah he won the second and third, but the first was definitely a 10-8.yid14 wrote:It was a majority draw J won't count as a loss on his recordjBacca wrote:10-8 in the first though.

1-0 Quigley. Some nice shots by Nick. Both fighters need to settle a bit though, a lot of holding.
Re: prize fighter tonight?
I think the ref basically has to pick the winner so the points get fiddled a bit, its the only way to put one person through.jBacca wrote:I know mate, just trying to fathom how it could be a 29-28 to the other lad. 2-0 Quigley. By far the better boxer.
Quigley's undoing could be his fitness in the latter stages. He hasn't fought since 2010.

That makes sense. Should get a punching machine ringside like they have in the kebab shops; hardest dig goes through.kingfinn wrote:I think the ref basically has to pick the winner so the points get fiddled a bit, its the only way to put one person through.jBacca wrote:I know mate, just trying to fathom how it could be a 29-28 to the other lad.
