Jon, whats come out of Brendans, is what has been produced there. Can the same be said for most of the American Trainers, dont think so.

Credit where credits due Jon, cumoan. Bringing up Futch and Clancy is like saying a footy manager is shite because he's not as good as Fergusson or Busby.

It's a great gym that has produced a number of very successful boxers.

Another point is that the Kronk gym built a reputation that attracted fighters from all over America, even Denis Andries was there for some time. The ingle gym has produced kids that are mainly from Sheffied in Naz, Ryan, Johnny etc, Herol originating from Nottingham is a rare exception. Ingle's gym isn't the world mecca for boxing, but for it's size and demographic it has produced a lot of quality fighters, with Naz being the best of the bunch to date. I don't think people should get hung up on whether someone held the WBA belt or the WBO belt, because a lot of that is down to financial considerations, television contracts and boxing politics. If a guy has won a world title belt, then it means that he is a very good fighter and the Ingle gym has produced quite a few world champions over the years. We all know that there is an elite level, but for a gym to get that type of fighter is purely down to luck and less ddown to the gym. It was pure luck that Tommy Hearns happenned to be from Detroit and went to the Kronk gym, he was a talented kid that would have made it anywhere, at any gym and whilst i'm not making the same comparison, the same could be said for Hamed at the Ingle gym.

I just hope my gym goes the way ingles gym has producing world champions it's a gym to look up to you can't knock them there techniques work

What about this for a scenario? young Johnny Nelson walks into Jimmy Tibbs or any trainers gym who have established champions in their gym, in the early 80's with a medical card that reads less than 20 bouts,more dq losses than Andrew Golota and says he wants to box pro? I think Tibbsys advice would have been to find a day job! But at Thomas' Brendan, then later Dominic and John groomed him from being a poor novice to a world champion. That aint luck or chance but a talent for bringing out the best that a fighter has and a dedication to see the job through. Dont know about the world but for longevity and success, Thomas' are best in uk

He reminds me of Witter; I think that's how his career will go, beating people he's supposed to beat with a couple of big wins along the way to keep the hype going. Calling out the biggest name around the weight (Khan for Brook, Hatton for Witter) while falling further behind and getting older and more bitter, without a megafight on the horizon.

mike a great friend of mine fano s a great trainer and he did what every one else was doin in the gym look what lenny doors did after he beat mike no one could touch the guy
