Everyone has eight year olds doing their rankings..............

I think it works by pulling names out of a bucket from 1 to 20 !!

After much considered thought and due process i have come to the realisation that the ranking are a crock of shite :OhYes:

Burns is still a bit of an unknown for me. He is capable of boxing very well and maybe has enough of a dig to stop himself being walked through. But I don't think he can keep his concentration and workrate going for all 12 rounds against someone this dangerous and full on, if a bit predictable

Katsides holds most of the aces but I still appreciate what Coco said. Sure C-P, it wasn't a hammering against Guerrero but Katsides has had a pretty hard career.

Katsides to get to him before round 8 but no way would I be confident to risk 2k on it.

And why hasn't Billy Nelson bit yet?

There seems to be this tacit assumption that as Katsidis beat Mitchell he'll beat Burns. Might be worth remembering that Burns has already achieved what Mitchell has not and probably will never.

The 'beast' Katsidis gets the living cack beat out of him each time he steps up in class. Knocking out Earl and Mitchell does not make a world beater, even if they are English.

Burns has the speed, variety and workrate to make a mess of Katsidis face and win a wide points victory.

Be interesting to see how that comes off.....Groves should win, but Smith is a very live under dog, so that's a probable, but not a cert...Chisora looks a dead cert - and Kat/Burns could go wrong for the Aussie too. Surely his only chance here is to knock Burns out cold - and that might not happen, as Ricky has been in with decent hitters like Carl J and Gomez - and while they are nowhere near the class of the Aussie, they hit hard enough to show that Burns has a decent chin ( think he was down against Arthur though...body shots was it ? )
Kat's face tends to mark up badly, so Burns has a chance to get the late TKO, if he can fend off Kat for the first half.
I genuinely don't give Smith much of a chance against Groves. He's not big enough at super-middleweight and he's facing a guy who hits harder, is more skillful and applies lots of pressure. I only give Smith a slight punchers chance and even then he'd need a hail mary to stop Groves.
Chisora will almost certainly stop Larry early and Katsidis (if he's anywhere near his best) should be too big for Burns who is overrated following the Martinez win.

True.

Its how Burn's deals with aggression, whether folds or not.

Katsidis put Casamayor through the ropes.

DeGale, who has a great chin, says Smith hits hard with either hand - and I reckon Smith has a much better chin than Groves, so don't think we'll see too much pressure - more like the safety first boxing that got him the DeGale win.

I'd forgoten that Burns was over 3 times v Johansson....yes, think he might be out of his league here - hope not though.

Burns doesn't have any dig.

I'd be shocked if Katsidis doesn't just walk through this guy

I disagree regarding Katsidis fight with Gurerro. He took an utter pounding in there, so much so that we could hardly watch. I am a big Katsidis fan but I hope Burns fights the fight of his life and pulls it out the bag, it will silence the naysayers and hopefully put Hagler out the game.
:OhYes:

Burns will get destroyed on the 5th of November.

Wouldn't put 2grand on admittedly but this is a big step up for Burns considering he hasn't fought anyone with a pulse since winning vs Martinez.

Kats inside 6 rounds.

I'll probably have a 100 no 1-6 Kats.

Will have no qualms on eating humble pie if I am wide off the mark, but just can't see Burns winning (unless a dodgy decision).

Good luck OP.

I can remember a wise old man telling me to never bet more than a 1/10 of what you can afford on any one bet what happened???
You're right Billy, but this is one of them bets I'm really confident in and I'm prepared to take the risk of blowing my full bank on it.

A Katsidis win and I make a small profit a KO win and I make a decent chunk.

Come fight night I could easily lay it off for a guaranteed profit but I'm seeing this one through to the bitter end :TU:

the odds have tipped in Katsidis's favour. But warriors like that can't go forever in that style. Burns is ambitious and confident. I would not put money on this now

I think Katsidis will wear him down and crush him eventually. Burns has done well but I mean, look at who he's defended those belts against, it tells you everything about the confidence they really have in him. The Martinez win is his ONLY decent win, I mean that. Katsidis is proven at fringe world level to be a very lively and able operator, Burns to me is euro level, I just can't see anything else than a Kat win. Not quite buying money, I think Hagler is prone to a bit of exaggeration on his best and prices he got etc, but I do think it's a decent bet.

You have got to be somethig specia, f**king special to win comfortably Casamayor and JMM, 2 world class superstars were put on there arse by this machine of a boxer and With all respect Burns would be anhialated by such opponents. If Burns is to win this (which he wont) but if by some scenario he does, it will not be comfortable, i will wage anythiny on that. Burns better have a damn good gumshield!!! :box:

Come on Micky smash his wee bollox in :TU:

Not quite 2k but I've £550 on the KO win @ 2/1 and 450 on the outright @ 9/10

If Katsidis wins, I'll take you out for a slap up meal on Monday night Billy Nelson out of my winnings as I'm up in Glasgow repossessing a couple of motors.
