If i was tasked with covering a fight, I'd be telling you what year he hooked up with Naz Richardson, how he fell out with Dibella, how he upset an entire nation when he fought Tito - i'd be setting the temp and the atmosphere about this bad ass grandad. Not describing how he is walking to the ring. I'd be talking his spars, his reach compared to the opponent, common adversaries - just fleshing it all out in a professional manner.
Give this man a job allegedly, that's the commentary I want to listen to

Meh, he just agrees with everything Rawlings says.
He doesn't actually offer much constructive input, positive or negative. Nice bloke and all, but neither him or Rawlings are up to much, in my opinion.
Get Jim Rosenthal on there. He is a better front man than Keys, has just as much boxing knowledge as the others and is a much better commentator than Rawlings and Enzo?
Jim Watt and / or Al Bernstein, either are better than Rawlings and Enzo (sorry for those of you who like Enzo's commentating, but I don't, pretty dire, in fact).
He puts the boxers point of view across very well IMO. He's got a more commentary friendly voice than someone like Jim Watt (who just flat out gets on my tits) and he adds some humour to the proceedings. I just want to watch and enjoy the fight in peace without having Jim Watt repeatedly whining about the same point over and over again

Who was working with Duke on the Bute fight this morning? Sounded a little like Schwer but I don't think it was. Whoever it was, they need to get him back again, it was like the fistic equivalent of mogodon for Duke.

Im still undecided about subscribing, i agree with someones earlier comment that id rather be watching the same fights on sky sports.
allegedly lacks a certain degree of professionalism i think.
Good fights, shit presentation. Even all the headsets and standing in among the crowd pisses me off.
Dont get me started with the post fight interviews.

Yeah it's great. Full card, no adverts between rounds, decent presentation & commentary team and plenty of foreign shows. Respect to Allegedly, it's a boxing fans channel.
I know I'll end up paying for it
You summed it up boxing fans channel but thats not going to be enough to make it work. If sky boxing gets a 100,000 viewers for Saturday night how many are going to subscribe to this.

Sorry as good as it has been am not paying an extra tenner.......paying Sky is already too much for me...if it fails all the fighters will be back on Sky anyway and I suspect it won't get enough subscribers to keep it going.....

i will pay if it appears on BT vision, if i can only get access to it via the net then i think it should be a reduced price, as obviously the pixel quality is nowhere near as good.
would love to see a special programme on featuring british title fights through the ages or soemthing similar, maybe domestic dust ups etc...let buncey introduce it.

When he tag teams with Rawlings, it's absolutely dire.
Rawlings "Here comes Bernard Hopkins.... walking to the ring.... Hopkins is in his 40's now.... he's making his way to the ring.... Bernard Hopkins.... started boxing after being released from prison... here he is.... he's wearing his X mask.... as he.... walks.... to ....zzzz the ring"
FFS.
Rawlings is garbage.

Question is -will all the people who are keen to suscribe still do so if they have to pay a year up fron. As has been mentioned on the other thread?

A year is a bit much off the bat, there are no guarantees of quality so six months with a discount for twelve would be better

Why would you have to pay for a year up front? Name any channel that does that. You're just spouting rubbish

Rawling is garbage, Bunce annoy me and would allegedly please get some researchers so their staff stop making some school boy errors?
Amazingly I think some of these have come from Steve Lillis (who should know better!):
Prior to Donaire v Narvaez:
"Narvaez has never fought outside of Argentina" (He'd fought in France and Italy)
"Should they have let Narvaez out of Argentina earlier?" (They let him out of Argentina as early as 2002)
"Can Narvaez carry his power up, he has stopped 19 guys before" (Narvaez wasn't a power puncher at 115 so what power did they expect him to carry up to 118? He'd stopped 1 of his previous 6 opponents)
Talking about Chavez Jr:
"Chavez has defended his title once against Ryan Rhodes" (He'd also defended against Gomez)
During highlights of Glazkov v Peret:
"Peret fought Tyson Fury in a kilt" (It was Marcel Zeller who fought in a kilt)
During Melendez v Bahktin:
"I'd award Bahktin 120 points" (It was a 10 round fight)
Talking about Katsidis:
"Katsidis lost on points to Marquez" (Nope Marquez stopped him in the 9th round)
Talking after the Molitor fight:
"Get Quigg in with Molitor it'll get him a world ranking" (Quigg is ranked by 3 of the world bodies already)
Talking about Bute:
"The Super 6, these were all well known names, Bute weren't" (Bute was a hell of a lot more well known than Ward or Dirrell and was on par with Froch)
Whilst these are only little things they add up and you sort of wonder if they just say any old crap thinking everyone ill go "they know what they are talking about"
