Law,
I deliberately avoided the hate word mate, and know you put it in inverted commas.
I sincerely hope whatever the truth about that time is / was, that he is at peace with himself.
I'll be getting the old vids out - just love to watch this hero fight.

R.I.P Smoking Joe
Has anyone had the misfortune of reading the Evening Standard 'recollection' of the Ali v Frazier fights.Embarrassingly biased towards Ali. 1st fight: 'Ali slowed down because of the 3 years he had out'. Methinks body shots had something to do with that mate
Anyways,a true legend in every sense of the word

A great loss to our sport, God Bless CHAMP, RIP.

Rather we should thank God that such men lived".

I have often wondered how many heavyweights in history could have thrown a left hook in the fifteenth round of such a gruelling fight as Frazier did against Ali. Perfectly executed, arm cocked just so, pivoting at the hips and his entire bodyweight driving though the punch. It’s a damn short list.
Just as short is the list of heavyweights that would have got back up.
I am sure that Ali feels the loss more than most and my condolences go out to both their families.
Rest in peace Champ
