The Rios vs Murray is one of the best fights i've ever seen, SIMPLY AMAZING BRAWL.

It's actually embarrassing for the British forum some people had Murray infront after 5 rds.

Not really. I don't see why a case could not be made that Murray took the second, fourth, and fifth

I really thought he was on the verge of turning the fight his way after the third. Very brave effort, and a decent fight, those rounds flew by.

The rounds were obvious to score. Rios was slow and sluggish early on.

Maybe a couple rds at the most but Rios was never in any danger in that fight the way some people on here were making it. Great fight though although not sure Murray should have been allowed to take so many punches in the end.

I would have stopped it earlier. But Murray was in it early doors. Rios looked massive though, the size and strength told. Mitchell might feel he got away with one tonight, who gets the WBA shot now it's vacant?

Well Rios threw over 300 punches in the first 3 rds.

Yeah the beating would have been even worse had Rios made weight and rehydrated fully with all his strength.

Agreed Rios would splatter Mitchell. Well it depends if Rios stays at Lightweight or not, he'll either fight Mitchell for the vacant or if moves up it'll be Mitchell against the number 2.

this was the fight murray wanted. sounds like he did well and put up a good challenge in an exciting fight. shame he had to fight a bigger man.

hopefully this puts murray in the mix for the WBO fights in britain where he can make money vs burns and maybe even gain revenge over mitchell. it will be good if he can build on this.

glad it was murray, not mitchell, who challenged rios as mitchell may have folded early.

What are you talking about? Rios and Murray were pretty similar in punches thrown. One of the judges had Murray 3-2 up, another had it 2-2 but gave fifth to Rios even though it was Murray's best round.
Embarrassing for you to criticise others scoring.
Also, as for your "beating would have been worse but for making weight". He was clearly the much bigger man so had no place boxing a lightweight. The fact that his weight was heavier as final attempt maybe shows he never intended to make weight.

Yes mate, Rios a full division heavier at least.

Murray`s defence was non existent at times. I know his style is to grind away on the inside, but there will always be someone who can play the same game, like Rios did in this fight.
