Surely the linear champ in any division would be the one with the majority of the belts ? if you got 2-3-4 belts ent you up there ? and surly if you your a contender or single belt holder in that same division fighting the guy that holds all the belts would be paramount before shooting your mouth off .?
Jones was never linear in anyone division ..its a sad fact considering his obvious talent/skill but its still a fact all the same :(
