I think once he beaten Sexton I think Skelton will be a defence in July.

He didn't look particular big last night. Skelton too strong and aggressive for him.

I guess Tom could do the rounds and become an opponent for others. Winning record, decent knockout percentage etc. Didn't look like he wanted to be in there last night though. It's probably the end for him.

I felt he was looking for the ref to step in each time Skelton got him on the ropes.

There was a flash of about 10 seconds where Dallas looked to bite on the gumshield and he threw a 8 or 9 punch combo. Skelton ducked and dodged in what looked like slow motion and avoided being hit, that said more to me about Dallas than Skelton. Credit to the Bedford Bear tho, always had huge respect for Matt.

He definitely earned his money, more than Mormeck "earned" the same night.

While it was a poor performance, I don't think he came to lie down or quit. He came into the fight in shape, just bereft of ideas, variety and the kind of skill required at this level.

Yeah there was a burst in either the 4th or 5th, can't remember which but that looks to me like a token effort from a man who really had no ideas what to do. He looked a little lethargic, but then I guess being hit flush round the head for four rounds will do that to anyone. His legs looked gone too, but then that's to be expected. I think I heard the ref say he was giving it one more round, or at least appeared to signal that to the corner and to FM before the bell to the 5th. It took some nuts to get off that stool for the 5th, the ending of which was completely written on the wall in huge letters.

Oh I'd agree with that for sure, he didn't come to lie down. I just think when he was caught in the bombardment of attacks from Skelton he tried less and less to fight his way out of them, and as the fight wore on I felt he wasn't even trying to stop Skelton from laying it on him. He was complaining of tiredness much earlier in the fight than I would have expected. As you say though, compounding his tired state with the four hellish rounds of head shots prior to that would have tested anyone.
