wow, price shits all over Fury, he has so much better technique, bigger power, faster. If Chisora can have Fury out on his feet Price can knock him out.

I honestly can't see how anyone is a fan of Fury or actually claims he's anything better than decent. He has one of the worst techniques I have ever seen and if it wasn't for his sheer size I'm pretty sure he'd have got nowhere near the level he has reached.

He's an entertaining guy, but I just find his style horrible to watch. Once he comes up against a decent operator who is his match for size, like David Price, he will be found out, of this I am sure. I'll be the first to hold my hands up if he proves me wrong though. But I can never see me liking his style, unless he ups his technique considerably. He needs a proper trainer IMO.

You don't understand why anyone is a fan of Fury? All sorts of fighters have fans at all levels of the sport, so why wouldn't Fury?

Sorry mate, what I meant was I cannot understand how anyone actually likes what he does in the ring. Obviously he'll have fans, like you say, every has with friends and family etc that will support no matter what he does. I just think his style is so awful, I have no idea why anyone who is not connected with him would like it.

he came out of the ring after he was last rocked and was quite confident that there was no problem with walking into the ring at the highest level and taking 2 rounds to get his a**e in gear. his head isn't in the right place IMO and i don't believe that guys at the higher level, guys with the punch power of david price, will be as forgiving as nevin pajkic was in his last outing, if fury walks into the ring in the same shape he did then and takes 2 rounds to get going price will knock him out cold.

the problem is not just his fitness, but his technique, which is awful. He is effectively like a very big fairground brawler, he lacks the correct technique to get power into his shots, and is effectively an arm puncher. Also, Fury is rather a strange physical specimen, big broad shoulders and barrell chested, but his legs are like two wet noodles - which means he doesnt have a good platform to deliver his shots.

He needs to work on doing some kind of weight training to build up those legs a little and crucially as well improve his punching technique rapido - simply will not get away with such a lack of firepower if he moves up another level. Chisora was never even vageuly hurt, despite being gassed and seemingly totally demotivated.

Also, I'd like to add that I have nothign against him personally. I actually like his personality, just hate the way he throws punches.

I think he will lose very soon though unless some drastic changes are made. I also wouldn't be surprised to not see him ever again after he loses for the first time.

English champion set for exposure stateside

Frank Maloney is currently in talks with Lou DiBella about arranging for newly-crowned English heavyweight champion David Price to make his American debut on a televised bill in March.

“The Fury fight is unlikely to happen until late April or May, so David will box in March and there is a real possibility that fight will be in America,” Maloney told the tabloid.

“I have spoken to a couple of American promoters, Lou DiBella and Kathy Duva. I am going over to meet them next week to try and finalise something.

“He could fight on Lou’s show at Madison Square Garden or there is another bill in Texas around the same time which would give exposure on American terrestrial television.”

I read on another forum that his opponent might be Siarhei Liakhovich.

Is it possible that it might be Maloney and Price who are the ones to sidestep the Fury fight and instead aim straight for world or European titles?

Avoid is an interesting concept Keith i didny mean it to sound like that. British Heavyweight boxing aint too bad just now. Fighting Price is not a step back. Fcuk aw this ranking pish i doubt he'll go for the Lonsdale belt outright but Fury will want a shot at Price.

If he isnt Mick he has certainly given team Fury some ideas on how to get out of the fight now DD
Can see the point though Price has not been active and as a career Fury has better options on the euro level atm.
