It's not nice but I think the slap serves a purpose. The Klitschko's like their charm offensive to undermine opponents and Chisora won't stand for it. This shows Vitali that Chisora isn't scared or intimidated, Vitali stood in shock for a second or two when other fighters would have punched Chisora, and in my opinion it's because Vitali's not used to being bullied back.

Vitali is a comsummate pro. This won't faze him. Dereck's taking a beating regardless.. But at least chisora is a character and given the fight colour

I look at it as a show of fear by Chisora, its almost like saying 'I've tried everything else to wind this bloke up, and now i don't know what else to do"
You get into someone's mind by showing no fear, whats the point in a slap?

Lets not kid ourselves, Chisora respects Vitali, He just wanted that one little thing to tell himself that this guy is no different, he feels everything.

Personally, im falling for Chisora, he makes it all interesting, even the Fury fight.

Sorry mate, but as I said, when Big Klit pulled the belt out of Peter's unsuspecting hands & held it up above his head so the shorter guy couldn't reach it, what was the point of that? Was that a show of fear?

I don't buy it. It's a cheap intimidation tactic is what it is, & I for one think it's worth a shot. Or, in this case, a slap.

Chisora comes in at 241. Wouldn't have minded him coming in at a career lightest for his biggest fight but lighter than when he fought Helenius we can't complain too much.

I think the fine puts to bed any suggestions that the slap was scripted.

As for the slap - love it. The last thing I wanted to see was the respectful, subdued Chisora in the build-up to the Fury fight.
x2 I think Chisora's great entertainment. I just hope he backs it up by giving Vitali a decent fight. Yeah, he's going to get killed, but the boys got balls that's for sure!

I saw the slap earlier and wondered if Chisora could be fined or even face criminal charges? Sure some people see this as part of the sport but really, slapping someone straight across the face? It's a thin line and defo not staged.

Personally though, I thought it was great haha

I never used to like Chisora but i've grown to love him now and the 'slap' just makes me love him more, he's far more fun then Haye and bigger balls too!

I am 100% behind Chisora and want him to become the new heavyweight champion and the only legit British World champion.

I doubt he'll stop Klitschko, his only chance is to be as active as possible like he did against Helenius but even more so and just swarm Vitali the whole 12 rds rather then stand off against him.

Looked to me as if he was a mili-second from putting a right hander onto Chisora .. then thought better of it.

Chisora needs to be the bully to perform. But as we saw when Fury bullied him ... he disolves.

He is a loon though :OhYes:

Chisora didn't see Fury as a threat,im damn near positive of that, and it seriously backfired. Delboy anhiallates him in a rematch.
