Today's presser for Fury v Rogan will be up there. Both doing stand-up and then both singing songs. Was more like cabaret

I know the politics of that one was balls, getting the 175 champ to weigh under 168 then making the fight for two belts but when I read what you wrote I just thought "well he has actually, 175 is the max weight and he weighed under" Lalonde was a tit to agree to weigh so far under but as catchweight, pretty common now.

Andrew Six Heads Lewis was once faced with the chopice of remaining in the ring to complete a fight he was winning handingly or sprint of the ring to avoid soiling his pants in public.

He left the ring toi run to the dressing room and got disqualified

Following up the Tyson bite incident (and I am not sure this counts), apparently the referee Mills Lane's shirt which was splattered with the blood from what was left of Holyfield's ears was bought by a memobrilla collector that night.

Oh and Todd Foster knocking out his Korean opponent twice in one day; after legitimately bowling him over when the Korean hear the wrong bell and turned to walk away. A rematch was, against logic as well as rules, ordered.

If Lanonde hadn't have agreed Leonard would have found another guy who he could beat to agree to it and then got the WB(whoever) to strip Lalonde.

Lalonde probably made more for that fight than the rest of his career put together.

Carlos Zarate v Alfonso Zamora, watch the video at 2.25 a fan jumps in the ring in his underpants, and then is gently helped out the ring by the police.

and then just watch the fight anyway, as its a good one between 2 huge punchers

Some great memories there.

A personal favorite of mine was seeing a very animated Chris Sanigar shouting so much in a corner his false teeth (sorry Chris if it was a secret) flew out into the ring and the poor referee called time as he thought it was a boxers gumshield. Totally baffled as both boxers showed they're respective shields the ref panicked and was nearly knocked over by Chris who dived under the bottom rope to near the centre of the ring to regain his gnashers to the amazement of the ref. A very surreal moment.

I heard a version of this that had a cleaner sweeping up at the end of the night and finding a piece of flesh on the floor, which was surely Holyfield's ear-part, and selling that to a collector.

Maybe both are true, maybe neither. They both sound far-fetched, but some weirdos will buy anything with a celebrity connection.

Paul Wesley disrobing for his fight with Ian Strudwick to reveal he was wearing stockings and suspenders, and then knocking out a bemused Strudwick in seconds as a big underdog.

Wesley is a loon by all accounts (in a nice way) , some have said his training left alot to be desired, but he still came through with some upsets

I think one of the most bizarre pieces of refereeing I've ever seen was when Paul Sita attempted to oversee the featherweight foulfest between Derrick Gainer and Freddie Norwood in 2000.

To this day I can't fathom what Sita was trying to achieve with his mysterious 20 count rule.

Here is a report on the complete farce.
