Can't see the injury being kosher. Too many other things suggest otherwise.

Firstly, its a WBO belt. Make of that what you will - the purse bids for Groves Steiglitz were ordered by the WBO about a week ago, out of the blue, which is when i reckon Groves's back first started giving him a bit of gip.

Think I would be "injured" if my opponent was in that shape!!! SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO gutted this fight is off, if GG is injured and this gets rescheduled or if he gives up a belt for kenny to fight someone else then maybe all will be good BUT if he pisses off for a world fight and leaves kenny in limbo is not good for the sport!! I agree is not good for all these other fighters on the undercard too who are needing experience and exposure, wouldve been a good night of fighting all round i reckon!!

He was doing sprints the other day he was saying on twitter! This is the second bill on the trot of Warren he pulled out off. The WBO fight on a German promotor bill.

It's boxing, strike when you have the chance. He could suffer a long term injury in the ring against anyone, fall over, clash of heads etc etc.

if making a mockery of the contract you've signed, to basically pull out and go for a better one, is part of the sport, it's a part Groves can have all to himself, I want no part of it.

Perhaps if this is what we all think it is and he beats Stieglitz then give Kenny first shot at the title, its the WBO which is well known for its generosity in terms of challengers in Britain, at least give the man something to strive for, he must be devestated after this loss of opportunity plus earnings.

I wasn't familiar with the first fight, was there any controversy in it? If not, why was this fight happening again anyway?

How long before ticket holders like myself get a refund bet it takes time!

anderson had groves hurt, knocked him down i think in around the 3rd/4th? then Groves came back had Anderson blowing with bodyshots, stopped him around the 7th i think. anderson got himself into mando position, i think, and it was well-known he only had about 2 weeks to prepare for the last one-.

Back in December (when Groves did his hand and DeGale later pulled out) Damon Jones' debut was called off, he's only just debuted this past week. Awful move by Groves but did anyone ever think the Groves/Booth-Warren partnership was going to work well?

Anyone know if Booth has been able to do this deal direct with the Germans and cut Fran k out of the loop?

The Germans won the purse bid. Warren only promotes him in the UK not overseas the fight be on his channel though. He pulled out in December with an injury too.

That's three fights now he has shrugged off - and I know about 18 people who've lost about £2,500 in train fares and arrangements.

They lost on previous bouts too. Bet Kenny is seething.

plane tickets from edinburgh and hotels ect all paid for all down the toilet, thank you groves so so pissed off, honestly dont think he was gonna fight him but as it was last week we all kinda changed our minds and thought he must be but no old back goes.

The Germans won the purse bid to stage this fight, Warren has no promotional involvement and he is not Groves's manager, Booth is. No reason why Booth shouldn't deal directly with the Germans under those circumstances. Hard to see how FW would benefit from the cancellation of his own show as he will not be getting paid off the Groves-Stieglitz fight. If Groves wins, FW would promote any defences in Britain, there is that. But he has lost a major show and an important subscription driver for allegedly, any benefit Warren might get (the win isn't guaranteed) is unlikely to be until autumn at the earliest because no boxing promoter in his right mind would run against the European Championships and the Olympics. Also there is no guarantee that 456 would even show the Stielitz fight as they will face rivalry from Sky in the bidding. Doubt FW is delighted about all this.
