We've already had that from Wrists.
He was apocalyptic after that one.chiggsy wrote:Spud used to make doghouse boxing forum worth visiting.
It was absolutely nailed on that he would have a break down around every 2 to 3 months were he would announce his permanent departure only to return a few weeks later.
Passionate about boxing but a very emotional guy.
One of the funniest episodes with spud was on this site when david payne likened spud to a boxing terrorist.
Can't remember all of it but i remember payne saying spud would turn up to fight weigh ins with cans of coke and alkaseltzer strapped to his chest threatening to ''do it'' unless the promoters met his demands.
Mate, this will probably be funny in about 15 years time when I'm falling out with the youth of today and British boxing's 'new' promoters claiming to be the saviours of our sport. Until then, I'll just stick to rowing with people like Steve Goodwin and his PR mogul, Max Clifford.Khaosai-Galaxy wrote:I keep having this vision of Ben Carey as a George smiley character, perpetually in a "dubious retirement" being called back by the new guard when a special case needs handling.
It amuses me much much more than it should.

Listen you c""t why on earth would I want to return to boxrec which is brimming full of half wits pretending to know about boxing.
I would rather my next sh"t be a hedgehog than converse with the likes of you who has his head so far up your mate Frank's arse - but worst still whilst Laurel and Hardy - Carey and that smelly c""t McNeilly - are in charge.
I want no part of the place ... now f""k off and stop disturbing my busy schedule - Spud.
I guess he's resigned then !
Gotta love him.
He'll never leave BoxRec.

Anyone else think we need a 'Pirate' thread where we can come and tell made up tales of high seas jinks in order to alleviate the boredom of our daily lives?
I don't see that as a drawback, meself. YMMV.The only problem is the, erm, tales of low arse jinks that followed Pirates around them thar seas.

Scatter like doubloons falling from the silky fist of a freshly-buggered cabin boy, KG, with the Spanish main flowing in his mainbraces & trickles of grog & jism leaking slowly from his keelhaul'd stern?King Geedorah wrote:Datsue wrote:Yes, yes & thrice yes.King Geedorah wrote: I'll put the mark of the Black Spot on ye, oh arr me hearty.
