It was absolutely nailed on that he would have a break down around every 2 to 3 months were he would announce his permanent departure only to return a few weeks later.
Passionate about boxing but a very emotional guy.
One of the funniest episodes with spud was on this site when david payne likened spud to a boxing terrorist.
Can't remember all of it but i remember payne saying spud would turn up to fight weigh ins with cans of coke and alkaseltzer strapped to his chest threatening to ''do it'' unless the promoters met his demands.
He was apocalyptic after that one.

I was taking the piss, Mick.

As mentioned, we have ways behind the scenes. Even with Proxy's.

Mate, this will probably be funny in about 15 years time when I'm falling out with the youth of today and British boxing's 'new' promoters claiming to be the saviours of our sport. Until then, I'll just stick to rowing with people like Steve Goodwin and his PR mogul, Max Clifford.

Gotta love him.
FFS. Newcastle win a couple of matches and his head becomes even more distended than usual.

He'll never leave BoxRec. :OhYes:
Yes but one of them was against Liverpool who by all accounts are the greatest side ever to walk the earth

The trouble with Spud is, he'd think of something and then repeat it parrot fashion.

I went to it once. Parrot Fashion Week. Just loads of squawking, feathers flying back stage and a load of skinny birds in ridiculous coloured outfits.

I'll put the mark of the Black Spot on ye, oh arr me hearty.

Anyone else think we need a 'Pirate' thread where we can come and tell made up tales of high seas jinks in order to alleviate the boredom of our daily lives?
Yes, yes & thrice yes.
The only problem is the, erm, tales of low arse jinks that followed Pirates around them thar seas.Image
I don't see that as a drawback, meself. YMMV.

They all scatter when a bit of accidental gayness pops up.
Scatter like doubloons falling from the silky fist of a freshly-buggered cabin boy, KG, with the Spanish main flowing in his mainbraces & trickles of grog & jism leaking slowly from his keelhaul'd stern?

I need to get on this pirate thread ASAP, I tells ya...

Contrary to popular belief he has a lot of friends who do post on here.
So I guess it would be easy for them to tell him ?
