As a Notts lad, I'm more than happy with the main event - and an undercard of local fighters is a bonus and nothing more.

The names might mean little to the johnny come lately, but to boxing fans around Nottingham, whom will make 90% of the crowd up they will know who they are.

I'd somewhat see your point if it was PPV but it's not.

He got Kessler over and had a good undercard...Enzo was chief support and it was a roll over but at least it was a WBO Cruiserweight defence in chief support...Burns, Hope, Cleverly

He also got Lacy over and that had a good undercard as well with Enzo (vs. Hobson) again and a Mister Chad Dawson...

So in answer to your question would Warren have got the best fight out there over here....yes.

I can't remember a time I've gone to a show for the undercard unless my mate has been fighting, it's simple this will sell out cos Carl Froch is one of the most exciting guys this country has ever seen and he's always in good fights..

I really hope he wins this! The more British world champions we have the better, Burns & Froch IMO are 2 of the most genuine people in British boxing and the longer we have them as world champions the better..

That's fair enough. All I am saying is that Hearn is making out that he's on a one-man mission to resurrect boxing and he is doing no better or no worse than the previous stakeholders...I don't mind someone giving it large - just back it up and I don't feel he's doing that- that's all

Would be interested to know why they couldn't do the Forest or City Grounds.

He has always been in exciting fights and the fans and has been packing out the Nottingham Arena even when he was defending the British title against Brian Magee and Robin Reid 7-8 years ago so he has always been a popular fighter it is just a shame that it is only towards the end of his career he has been getting the recognition that his achievements so richly deserves. Plus after fighting Mikkel Kessler, Arthur Abraham, Glencoffe Johnson and Andre Ward on the road Carl Froch has richly deserved a homecoming fight in front of his fans at the Arena and I am pleased that Eddie Hearn has done that for him, and he was right in listening to the Cobra when he stated that he did not want an easy welcome home fight at the Arena and he wanted to show that he is still a topline fighter in one of the deepest divisions in boxing at the moment because that is the level he has been at since 2008 and he has managed to do that in getting Lucian Bute to leave his comfort zone and to step into that bearpit of a Nottingham Arena to put his IBF belt on the line against Froch.

Plus I hope Froch can do it as well.
