File:Bout2.JPG is Stribling v. Tuffy Griffith
File:Bout2.JPG might be Bruce Flowers v. Billy Petrolle
File:Bout2.JPG guy on the left is almost certainly Johnny Risko
File:Unknownfight.jpg guy on the left kind of looks like George Johnson

Hello. My grandfather was a pro boxer. His name was Bill Smallwood. He fought around 1948 from roanoke Virginia. I cannot seem to find any photos of him. I do believe he was in a ring magazine around that time. Could someone point in a direction to find his mentioning. It would mean the world to me.

Trying to figure out how to get this photo posted for Jimmy Rappaport (ID#047614).
Just found a lot of amazing photos from 1926 Junior National Championship as well as many other NY area boxers in the 20's-30's.
Jimmy was an active member with both Ring 8(NYC) and 21(Brooklyn) during the 1960's, and was a regular at Jack Dempsey's...all I am recently finding out.
Not sure If my photo will make it here, but hoping to get some help.
Much appreciated,
Charles Rapp

Gerald Tommaso DeLouise a/k/a Burt Young. Young served a tour of duty in the United States Marine Corps from 1957 to 1959. While in the Marine Corps, he won 32 of 34 boxing bouts. He later became a professional boxer and compiled a 17–0 record under three aliases. His manager was Cus D'Amato. I have a great photo of Bert Young during his undefeated Boxing career, but I'm unable to add it to my post. Can anyone advise me on how to post a photo here?

Put the photo into a file on your computer. Then go to the Website
Click "New Post" .It should then take you to that file. Click the photo. Then click "Share Images".Then paste the image onto your post on the forum.Didn't know that about Burt Young.

Hello,
I am searching for any information on a fighter named "Sontag". I do not know if this was his first or last name or his "fighting name". I know he fought a fight at the City Park Arena in Toledo, Ohio on July 28th, (give or take a day) in 1904. He fought Edward Gloman. The reason I am inquiring is Edward Gloman was my great-grandfather and he died about a month later due to bleeding on the brain from the fight. It was probably an amateur fight, but I do not know for sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Bruce Thornberry
