Chisora has shown far better durabilty than the notoriously chinny Barrett, and Ruiz, who was dropped several times throughout his career, was well past his prime. Haye also failed to stop them early and without problems; Barrett knocked him down and Ruiz lasted nearly 10 rounds. Bonin was a sub-EBU level fighter who never proved his durability against a notable puncher, so I'm not going to discuss him.

It's worth noting that Haye easily stopped Alexander Gurov and Audley Harrison, who are roughly the same height as Klitschko, yet struggled with short opponents in Fragomeni and Mormeck; I believe Haye's struggles are more attributable to the abilities of his opponents than their heights. Chisora is durable and arguably top ten in his division, so a quick and easy stoppage over him would be a new accomplishment for Haye.

BTW---I don't consider a stoppage between the 6th and 8th to be that early. My criticism is directed more towards the predictions of a blowout in under 5 rounds; it could happen, but it's highly improbable.

There was little to suggest that Haye would win quickly and facilely, and he didn't. He did exceed my expectations though.

Clearly, stopping a fighter who is 'arguably top 10 in his division' and who has gone the distance with 2 other top 10 fighters, in the 5th round is just an average performance from an overrated heavyweight who is really just a blown up cruiser.

When did I classify a blowout as a bout that lasts fewer than 5 rounds?

For me a blowout occurs when a fighter is uncompetitive and continually punished during a bout, or when they are knocked out very early (e.g. rounds 1-3) without having dominated until that point.
