Haye got €12.5M for the wlad fight, that was gross and before fees ect, so depending on the exchange rate at the time it was alot of money but I would say after everything it was approximatley £8-9M !

I was trying not to comment on this thread, but to quote a potential fight between Haye and Fury as 'the biggest British fight of all time' is absolutely amazing.

I'd love to know how many of Vitali and Wladimir's opponents with the exception of Lennox Lewis have earnt that much from a fight with them.

Probably none.

Haye is a bigger draw than everyone the Klitschkos have fought, bar Lewis.

Haye is a bigger draw than everyone the Klitschkos have fought, bar Lewis.

Which makes it so laughable how the Klitschko's and Boente dismiss him every time his name comes up and then continue to fight joke artists like Manuel Charr and Tony Thompson. Anyone who is remotely a threat they keep saying 'oh we offered them a good deal and it got turned down' and shite like that. Povetkin, Haye and Valuev have all had that line thrown at them. Valuev aint the greatest ever but his size makes it so awkward for anyone, and Povetkin and Haye are the 2 best guys bar the Klitschko's, I'd back both to beat Adamek and anyone else at heavy.

I think Bonte dislikes Haye and wants to make things difficult for him, which means not giving him a Klitschko bout or ensuring tough terms reached through difficult negotiations. Risk may be a factor as well, given that Vitali is clearly declining.

Povetkin is a confirmed ducker and Valuev was offered a career high pay day to fight Vitali; I can't complain about those two not getting a fight.
