Well who does he fight next?? GGG is his WBA mandatory almost certain that fight would head a HBO bad program. Macklin is with Dibella and has fought on HBO in his last few fights could be a good introduction to USA market. I think Chavez will be unavailable for a while after testing positive to pot. Martinez broke his hand and is having minor knee surgery. He will be out for at least 6 months. Sam is his ibf mandatory. Who do you think he should fight hounddawg?

I personally think Macklin needs a very credible win first.... washed up Alcine and Asikainen are his only notable wins and were both long in the tooth when he's fought them. When ever at the top level he's fallen short. Convincing victory over Alcine, fighting a bloke who's won 1 out of his last 3 doesn't keep tounges wagging.
Geale has a pretty decent resume now, in fact the 2nd best in the division atm,he should keep building on this with defences of his belts until Sergio is back and fit, then step up to him.
Let Golovkin get at least 2 more decent victories, before he earns the right, his best win was Proska, and we never really got to see where he was going, as GGG smashed and probably crippled his career. I really think this is going to be the biggest test for Geale.
Don't get me wrong, Macklin would look nice on the record of Geale, however in years to come it will be worth nothing and look like a easy defence to those learning the sport.
