Finished by a jab, not exactly iron resolve from his " world title eliminator" opponent for Brook. So we're due another eliminator for Kel now I guess...

Hearn has really sold Sky a lemon with this 2nd rate stuff - I see he's sold them a Bute show from Canada now....like we really need to see more of him, after his no show v Froch.

This is hardly preparation for Alexander or Bailey. Hearns trying to tell us otherwise.

I think he'd have the beating of Bailey providing he boxed clever and stayed away from the old man's dig. Alexander would be a different proposition because he is a seasoned world class operator who would present a lot of problems to Brook that he has never encoountered before.

Good thread Ben. Overall verdict: that was a kack show.

Brook's opponent got KO'd with a jab, that is egg-on-yer-face main event matchmaking and the commentators raving about Brook like he is the next coming.

Still, comedy punditry from Gareth Davies said "that finish was a short right and it was amazing". Then a well timed counter from Mike Costello "I take issue with Gareth, that was a stiff left jab that finished it.

Really cant see alexander falling into the mike jones trap. Jones coletley schooled bailey for, 9, was it then, to coin a family guy phrase POW RIGHT IN THE KISSER.

Alexander brook is intriguing. Can see hearn getting alexander over too

Anderson vs. Reid was interesting until Kenny landed a decent shot and it was clear Robin has no legs left.

Mcdonnell vs. Zamora was a massacre, the only thing that stopped it ending early was Jamies lack of power.

Saldivia was a dreadful opponent, not a single top opponent on his record and the commentators are making it sound like Brook has defeated the toughest fighter on the planet.

Aye, the 2 headliners were not competitive in the slightest. Okay Malinga pulled out late on but Brook learned nothing from that fight.

Scott Cardle looks a decent prospect. Is he English or Scottish?

From Scotland but now a native of Lytham.

I'm sure Cardle was born in blackpool and puts his accent down to his parents being scottish.

Poor show tonight, Brook was in with a decent puncher but that's all he was. Dunno how he was final eliminator. I am a fan of brook tho, really do think he has the skills to become world champ.

His Scottish accent is pretty strong.

Rubbish show, really bad.

I don't really mind Matchroom giving their shows the big hype. It's their job to sell it as best they can and risk their prized assets as little as little as possible. Eddie certainly knows how to do all the extras of a modern show in terms of promotion and production.

What gets to me is how alot of supposedly knowledgeable people seem to carry anti-Frank pro-Eddie goggles around with them. There really ain't alot of differnce in the overall quality of shows they put on. I'm always really puzzled how an ordinary boxing fan can start supporting one promoter over another? Who cares less whose doing the show, what number of twitter followers they have or what bitchy coment they have made to each other? All we should judge them on is the quality of their shows, and there isn't really a fag paper between the pair there.
