It's possibly the reason seven home fighters haven't sold out a 500-600 capacity arena which you must admit is very poor indeed?
To be fair kris hughes's fight might be good,be interesting to see if he can keep the stronger guy off with his boxing skills.
Talent wise over that weekend Alex Morrison's then Sweeney promotions seem to be far better value for money shows wouldn't you agree?

how do you know we wont sell it out ,with 2 weeks to go tickets are going well so far ...

as for vale for money were charging a flat £30 for 7 fights which is about average for any show in the UK ,its not really fair for me to comment on the two shows but i wish them well ,its good for scotland to have a vibrant scene mate and i prob see you at the meadowbank show an our show !

Could be some good fights on there ;) Douggie Curran will be good against Kris Hughes I believe... Not to compare this on Stephen Russell's last fight he was half a stone heavier than Stephen and that was bad the fight even being allowed to happen!
Mickey Coveney could be interesting but seems he blocks alot with his face :(
Hope the show turns out a good one and possibly if Kris gets back to his winning ways I might let him share the ring with me ;)

THe Coveney fight actually works well you consider James is only on his 3/4 fight and on paper has little experience compared Coveney ,but im sure it will be good !

Any idea who your fighting next Ronnie? Someone had written into Boxing News this week stating that Paul Truscott is struggling to be matched at super feather.

There is no chance Paul Truscott will fight Ronnie.. I'm sure the challenge will go in from Tony but I wouldn't hold up much hope... I want Kris Hughes to win but think he may be in for a tough night.. If he can keep Curran off he wins comfortably.. I do agree with Billy the other 2 shows have better quality but also agree that it's good for Scottish Boxing to have so many shows

Could be a tough one for Hughes coming off 2 stoppage losses against someone like Curran. He's proved himself in Scotland before against Davey Savage jr.

The Edinburgh show is the best one on paper more fights for the money if they all come off and as normal billy is backing a show he has boxers on and theres no big names on it just up and coming ones I'm going to the prospect show i would go to the Edinburgh one before the Glasgow because of the bigger bill but cant afford two shows on one wkend times are hard all the best any way

Simpson fought Trusccott twice and he was prepared to go to the states to fight Gary Russell ,so i wouldent rule him out,the laddies a good domestic level fighter,i personally dont think he will fear Ronnie .

I'm sure we will find out in time.. Ronnie wants that fight he messaged him on twitter asking for the fight so let's hope it happens.. Truscott is a good step towards the British title that I'm sure Ronnie is gonna win in 2013... 2013 Year of the Shark ;)

See your wrong there mate,I have a fighter on both Glasgow and edinburgh,just calling it the way I see it,very good card in the east with craig and ronnie,likewise Glasgow with roberts,Brophy and slower,just my opinion the wish aw show comes a distant third,even though butcher is a very good lad

Alba didn't the lad butcher sign a deal with Maloney through Paul 6 months or so ago? When will he appear on one of his shows or did the deal fall through?

yes they did sign ,but unfortunately the deal fell through for Iain . Not to worry im sure if there was interest after only a few fights there will be further interest down the line .

This how the shows are looking so far Billy so in your opinion its Glasgow 1 Edinburgh 2 Wishaw 3 in my opinion its E1 W2 G3 the only down side for the Wishaw show is the Venue its poor

A think its good for Scottish boxing tht wee have 3 shows in the same weekend and some good lads in Scottish boxing at the moment with Ricky burns for them all to look upto :)

I think the promoters should get together and put on the cream on the one show in evenly matched fights.
Even gilmour has a show on the 7th in Inverness with another heavyweight hope,to many shows to short a time imo

I agree on big show would be excellent.. Scotland has 4 or 5 boxers coming through who will be British Champions lets showcase them.. I would love to see Burns v Broner here in Scotland with a packed undercard will the promoters work together I doubt it :)

David im sure Billy will tell you that there is no chance of Broner coming over to Scotland. He mentioned it in his last interview that the fight will happen in Vegas if anywhere. I think that if Ricky fights in Scotland fair enough but Hes got bigger fish to fry and by looks of it hes going to have do it on the road:) I do agree that to many shows in such a short space isnt great but fair play to these promotors getting there fighter a wage before the new year:)

spot on ,there is nothing wrong with the amount of show's all the fighters get paid and get to figth. the Edinburgh card has a barrow load of Edinburgh fighters and the glasgow one has glasgow fighters,as will the wishaw has most of there laddies from Lanarkshire ,now it would be great if there were more evenly spaced out but its not the end of the world .

As for promotors working together it would be great,but before you all lay the blame at Scottish promotors doors look at how it is within the uk ,the bigger promotors down south dont work together really so its not a new thing..

Personally i believe Scotland is a small country boxing wise ,rather than take pot shots we should all do our best to support the fighters and the promotors,wether its from Burns at world level down to butcher at domestic

I would love to see Burns v Broner aswell ,but aint going to happen over here at least i think.... cant see GBP letting one of there rising stars move up
