He seems very confident something very big is going to happen this year. Maybe he knows something we don't in regards to a upcoming match up or something. Daniel is an excellent fighter and always had a punchers chance even against Geale, who I believe Daniel would have given a better fight if not for a very bad camp and wrong strategy. The loss to Loporto he seemed like he was in between styles he was trying very hard to move around and 'box' when in reality Daniel fights much better coming forward looking to set up power shots. I hope this year goes great for him. Would love to see him back in k-1/MT/Kick-Boxing rules where he is arguably the best talent from Australia if big things don't happen in Boxing this year.

I wouldn't be surprised if Dawson got a crack at Mundine sometime soon

I think you are making too many excuses for him. Geale beat him cinvincingly because he is a far better boxer, Loporto just beat him fair and square. Things like bad training camps and changing styles are all things world class boxers need to be able to deal with and win.
I would love tosee him back in Kick Boxing/Muay Thai, he is far better there than he is at boxing (albeit he is an accomplished boxer also).

I think Geale blew a hole in that theory.

He should have, but unfortunately there are hundreds of thousands of NRL fans and casual sports fans that still theink Mundine is the Man and are willing to ppay $50 to watch he fight tomato cans. These are the same people that will line SBW and QC's pockets with money tonight.

I really think people are waking up to Anthony. His best days are behind him.

Daniel v choc has been spoken about many times since choc began campaigning at junior middle. With his comprehensive defeat to geale, a fight with dan at the lighter weight may appeal.

A recent post by Dawson on facebook may be alluding to a fight with Choc very soon. Anyone else heard this rumour ??
It would have to be a while off I would think given Daniels recent surgery.

Daniel's days are numbered in boxing. if he gets offered the bout with Choc he would be mad not to take it.It would be a big fight financially for him. Mundine holds the cards so its up to Choc to call Daniel. As far as earning a fight with Choc, what puts a fighter in that category? Did Choc earn a fight with Geale ? Did bronco earn a fight with Choc ? Daniel has been winning so i gues thats good enough.

Id like to see Daniel Dawson vs Robbie Bryant. It would be good to see who is the best in WA at 154.
Bryant makes 154 fairky comfortably and should be fighting at that weight.
Who would you pick Scotty?

Based on recent performance I think Robbie may apply too much pressure, but Daniel would find Robbie easy to hit.
Would be a great stoush.

Good performance by Daniel to get over Alex Bunema last Friday. I thought the bout was close, but the right guy got the decision. A good competitive night of fights. Nathaniel May put in another great performance. Well done to CDL. I notice Dawson is listed as backing up on December 7th on their next card. Interested to see if CDL can get another competitive opponent.
