With respect to you 26 I was talking about his chin more than his desire after someone said witter by ko early ! I was supprised on the way he beat woodhouse, even a 50% Gavin ( i thought ) would of got Curtis out of there ! I was wrong, I still believe he won the fight easy but was expecting more.
I know Frankie had personal problems around that time and I did ask myself if he was actually as good as I once thought he was, but like Mitchell I only give a boxer one chance for excuses, if he looses to witter I will take every thing back and doubt him again, if he beats witter his still undefeated, British champion and my confidence in him will continue !

It's a good match, Junior has sipped and we really don't know how good Frankie is as a pro. His last (top level) amateur bout was 5 years ago and though he has looked fantastic in the gym, (tales from his trainers and gym mates though...) Tonight he may move up that level and shine; Witter has had his share of bad performances and has had excuses for them; with respect to Curtis; I do think that Witter would beat him and Dale Miles + anyone that Frankie has boxed until now. We'll see soon, I've been wrong tons of times but think Witter is being disregarded by Gavin fans.

Couldn't resist a cheeky 20 notes on Witter at 4/1. Not saying he'll win the fight but he's never a 4/1 shot for this.

I have been so underwhelmed by Frankie's career so far it's shocking.

I honestly believe he is overrated. I said this on here after just a few fights.

I've not been overly impressed with Heffron either

I caught the last 6 rounds. Mcdonagh put up his normal gutsy effort but the score was a bit close 77-76 I think Heffron won it by 2 or 3 from what I seen.

I liked Heffron before tonight. He came across badly in the post fight interview, saying he felt flat, couldn't get his shots off, usual BS. Whats wrong with giving your opponent credit for a good close fight? Mcdonagh did what he does best, come to fight. And he deserves credit for that.

Also, if heffron insists on making that much noise with every punch, he should learn to move his head. With his mouth wide open every time he comes forward, he is asking to be ironed out.

They are both decent lads but Peter would be better boxing 6 rounders and really going for it, pressing and he would do ok; Ronnie will do better when he's Peters man strength; they are both ok but to be honest, and without being cruel; when Peter does box I don't expect to be entertained; I can imagine Heffron going the way of that 'Bulb Head' lad.

Don't give up yet Cecil this is as bad as was expected though.

Well that was a dull fourth, a lot of holding and no big punches landed. Gavin doesn't look good enough to win. I've never watched much of Witter before this but I can see how he frustrates fans and opponents alike

So far it is as dull as I thought it would be.

Typical witter fight. Utter pish.

Gavin is equally to blame for this - Witter is actually trying to make something of it.

We can blame witter but...Frankie isn't doing much himself...well until the last round...
