Actually, I'll go for the Jap by stoppage without ever having seen him. Solo just seems too inactive for me and at 37 I think if he was gonna make any impact he'd have done it by now. Sure, the Japs only had a handful of bouts and that is obviously in Haumona's favour but imports are usually chosen for a reason.

No, while technically not the best fight ever for pure entertainment it was a cracker, mate I don't know how either of them lasted for 5 rounds..... Put it this way I would pay for a rematch! Saved the card there was some real one sided beatings, not as pretty on the eye.

Afa v Joey Wilson was an incredible match; I'd watch either of those guys against anybody. Sometimes being "crap" (not my description) doesn't mean they're not good to watch.

i fought briefly in the early 1970s with little success. I sparred with Billy Bell and other good middleweights and welterweights but I would rather not give my details.

My thoughts exactly, boxing is about levels. Two evenly matched boxers who don't have all the skill in the world can be good to watch - seen many of these kinds of fights. In fact, most boxing is this skill level. Good job we don't have to rely on 'Pretty Boy' Floyd and his ilk to bring the action or else we would have 3 fights a month.
